Not sure if it was his Dad but a family member definitely did, which led to him initially retiring at end of season 13/14.

Had a listen to the Zenon interview, for the record yes it was his father that passed away.
Comes across as a very genuine guy Zenon with no airs or graces, which is why he enjoyed his time here and the Newcastle culture of just rolling up your sleeves, working hard and having a go.....pretty much the way he described it himself.
Enjoyed his insight into coaching and he feels that it is more important how a coach manages his players and their different personalities to get the best out of them rather then just "coaching" them how to play football.
Jeterpool (David) you are a natural mate, thorough professional who obviously does his homework. Have listened to the Reegz interview and now this one with Zenon, both about half an hour long but totally absorbing listening. Great stuff!
Now if we can only somehow track down Ljubo....wouldn't that be some interview!!!
Yeah, so true.
A favourite saying of Ange is to "get the players to buy into your philosphy".
If the players aren't "buying into" or believing in you as a coach and your methods, you end up with the situation we had with Stubbins where the coach loses the "dressing room" or is it "sheds" or whatever...
Ned Zelic interview went well, and will be available to download at 8am from the front page
Nice one Dave
Recorded an interview yesterday with Vaughan Coveny. A really good chat and it's interesting to see how he came to the club. Thanks to those who submitted questions for them to answer - I hope that I didn't forget them! I'm sure it will be up soon.
This is the last of the ex-Jet series I'm doing during the offseason. I hope you all enjoyed them because I enjoyed bringing them to you. All the players were really accommodating with their time.
They've been great. Thanks for putting them together.
Next off season can you track down Ljubo?
And Steve eagleton
Final ex player interview with Vaughan Coveny now available
