Also agree with JM, we hardly looked like scoring until the deflected free kick. First pen was lucky, second pen you can say we deserved as we did create a 1 on 1 which they were not able to legally defend.
Hondurans were up for the game and played decently. How their #6 didn't get a yellow after something like 8 fouls conceded, most of which were on Rogic stopping a promising attacking situation baffles me. We were getting yellows (some deserved) for some soft shit but it seemed like they had open season on our blokes to stop any attack without penalty from the ref. Besides that he had a decent game.
Rogic actually looked talented last night (in contrast to most of his performances I've seen where I'm left wondering why there is even hype on the bloke). Still needs to work on the final pass and shot but he did well carrying the ball forward and creating a yard for himself.
I had to laugh a bit when Simon Hill asked how much of an impact we can make at the World Cup. In 2014 I thought we acquitted ourselves very well in a tough group and probably deserved to make it out. If we come at all close to those levels of performance I'll be both surprised and happy. Germany and Cameroon shouldve beat us by 5 goals both games and Chile for what ever reason were off their game allowing us to play.
