Can't say I agreed with everything he did, but I believe we're in a better position now than we were when he joined. Given the constraints and uncertainty, that deserves some credit in my opinion.
Shane was clearly in Babysitter Mode while at the club. The plan was probably for Justin Pascoe to take this role eventually.
It would be nice to see the club explore all available options and employ the best person for the role.
We need some strong leadership off the field if we are going to survive medium to long term.
Facebook brown says everything about shitshow Shane, good riddance
Judge the new boy on what he does Stanny, his arse hasn't hit the chair yet. Plenty of time for bagging, and I'll be one of the first
Things are very quiet. Haven't heard much from Maurice lately. Is Hoffman still employed ?
Still no CEO replacement. I'm sure I heard Maurice say before the season started that they would be doing their own podcasts ?
It still feels like we are being run on the cheap side of things which is disappointing.
I don't want Stanton to stay as coach after this season but he may have some valid points in not wanting to sign an extension if one was offered!
You've only got to go out to the "administration office" to see how the joint is being run. Once you get past all the boxes and rubbish outside the front door it's much the same inside. Just a bit embarrassing really.
We might be running on the smell of an oily rag, but we're running, and not doing too bad. Coaches come and go, it's the members they need to keep
Just something I picked up whilst procrastinating at work reading random sports news, Super Netball club Sunshine Coast Lightning have new owners in "Global Sports Fund Management Group". Noticed a couple of familiar names involved...

"Global Sports Fund Management Group co-owners Justin Pascoe and Lee Hagipantelis said they were determined to continue building the club."
Both are investors in the Jets but not sure if actually part of the Maverick group. Anyway, seems they apparently have a bit of spare cash to throw at netball and a random basketball team as well:

"They are also co-owners of the Ottawa BlackJacks basketball team in Canada."
Was reported recently they both were enjoying dinner in Leichhardt with some of the higher paid players at the Wests Tigers. I sceptic might think planting a seed or two for a return ?.
