is this a proven theory ???? or fudged statistics ??? One possible reason for a few sore knees could be stud pattern. Bladed studs give greater resistance to turn, especially on softer pitch's, that resistance transfers to weakest point, in most cases the knee. Advice I have always been given is to wear round studs, they allow you to turn-spin on your foot pad with least amount of resistance.
So I wonder how many guys were wearing round studs and how many were using blade ????? would make for some interesting stats.................that we could then fudge
Copas. All you will ever need in life.

Is there plenty of parking at Speers? Also,is there a charge to attend?
Embarassing scoreline for dudley ufc. Looking back, we as a club need to learn from this smashing. Mayfield were obviously far too good.
Unfortuneatly for us, We had around 11 players unavailable for the match. Many of which are first graders and would have played if available. Im sure that would have pegged the scoreline back a bit. But overall we had 14 , so no excuse.
Defineatly a hard game to watch from the sideline.
Going forward, We have recruited well this season. Once everyone is available and the season starts we will be competitive .Good news for us is Mayfield Snrs arnt in our competition, good luck to them this year. Im sure they will touch up a team or two in the ZPL. Hopefully Nnsw and FFA continue with competition format. Afterall our FFA cup is over for 2015, but hopefully we can get another gig for 2016. Im sure plenty of sides will be lining up to play us.
I cannot go to watch the FFA cup games as going to watch the jets but will be interested to know what teams everyone puts out . Any reports would be interesting as the games unfold for anyone attending.
Had a look at the fixure list and cannot see where a single shock may come from regarding NPL team .
Kahibah v Southy , Regardless of what some appear to think regarding Southy and there chances in NPL they will cruise tomorrow for sure.
The others I would say much like the above , I just cannot see a shock.
Anybody want to step up and predict a shock ?
Ok , what team will score most goals tomorrow , I am saying Edgy.

If Santo, Sam and Ed thought some of the scores in Round 1 were high, wait till they see these results. No offence to any ZPL side but most of the NPL teams could get close to double digits. Unless they play their 22s, then the results should be closer.
On a side note, would it be a better system in this round if the NPL teams play against each other?
That way lower league teams have a decent chance of winning more than 1 game.
Just seems like there will be lot of one sided affairs tomorrow.
Games at West Wallsend postponed
Any feedback on games so far?
Magic 6 - 0 Swansea
Weston won on pens over Uni
Maitland beat Cooks Hill 8-0 and from all reports looked pretty impressive.
Gunners up 3 nil over kahibah
There's some big scores atm.
Plattsy are down 6 nil to ccb, and new Lambton are 6+ down to edgy.
Shouldn't be much of surprise to see the NPL sides dominating the Zone clubs. Even some of the lower NewFM sides struggle to match it with the top NPL sides. Great effort by Uni though.
FT: Charlestown 15-0 Plattsburg-Maryland
FT: Edgeworth 11-0 New Lambton
Really shows the gap in class.
Adamstown 4 -1 Kotara
Me thinks people are a bit hypocritical.
Whinge and moan that kids football results matter and winning is highly important
When seniors are held to the same standard that results matter all the excuses come out for not winning games but trying hard counts and superior opponent etc
Back up your comments, MFKS?
considering alot of zone teams pre seasons are very minimal the fitness would be terrible.
Swansea who lost 6-0 to magic beat belswans a decent newfm side last round.
Uni beat wallsend a now newfm side then took weston to a draw.
The quality gap is huge from nbn to newfm everybody knows that. But still a few zone league sides i.e uni that would clearly do well in newfm but dont match the criteria to get in. If one day they actually put the 2nd best 10 sides in newfm that would be great for newcastle footballs 2nd tier comp.
As for zl2, zl3 sides etc. They are blokes with some football skills dong more training at the pub then at the field Not getting payed to play and some teams once a week training has only just started so huge scores are to be expected as people run out of legs.
Completely agree that fitness levels of NPL would be a much higher standard. The best part of the FFA Cup is the smaller Zone League teams getting a chance against the bigger clubs. Hopefully over time the results will get a bit more respectable. And yes it'd be great to see teams like Uni allowed into NewFM. Improving the 2nd tier will only help improve the whole of Newcastle/Hunter football.
What was the final score of Jesmond and Trono?
