Give them the answer he is looking for Wilson lol not lez
My guess is reality. Man v Myth.
Anyways. Big effort by the lads yesterday to come from behind twice. Both bay goals came from our keeper dropping the ball right into the path of a bay player in the first half. Credit to him made up for it in the 2nd. Couple of formation shuffles at half time helped. Good start to the year. How was the other game played yesterday?
Bero up 1-0 after half hour, Jesmond equalised in 75th min.
How was nealys hammy Bowey? Did he back up this week?
A cracker of a goal to win it for the Sharkies yesterday too. Good match going from end to end.

CHUFC vs Westlakes

Ressies 3-0

Cookers are a solid outfit and had the better of general play.
WL put together a few decent passages but found it diffuicult to break down CH.
Caught 2nd half of Kotara & Nelson(s) Bay. Good open game. Kotara had the better of possession with plenty of once touch stuff.
NBay never gave up, put 3 in & had a pen saved. Not sure of team strengths but if Bay can add 1 or 2 stronger 1sters they'd be up there.
I gather cookshill have picked up alot of quality players, because this can't be the same mob who miraculously came second in zone league 3 last year right? Because in my opinion that was a flattering finish for that team.
So I guess what I have learnt from this round is that the Stockton lumberjacks are going to be the team to beat and the Charlestown rams maybe recruited he wrong 4 from Jeso!?
Not so much picked up from elsewhere, they came down from ZPL last year due to newfm age restrictions. All cookers boys through and through. The ZL3 guys are mostly res and 3rds now. That 1sts team from ZL3 last year, when all there were decent, but it was hard to get the best 11 on the park week in week out.
Hard day today at the Athletics field for the Cats. Cooks hill were a quality squad especially the 1st grade side but we were proud that we came out second half and only conceded the 1 goal while creating a few chances ourselves in 1sts. Hopefully put a few chances away in the coming weeks and get some results.
Can't wait to see some of the results from this weekend, with everyone backing up from Anzac Day....
I think people's predictions will change over the coming weeks. There are going to be some competitive games with some of the stronger teams facing one another. Still early days
I was impressed with the Cooks Hill ressies team yesterday too, pretty composed on the ball overall and passed it out from the back mostly, far better than we did.
Looks like we might all get the weekend off....
Wouldn't write off Stocko just yet. Decent drainage (Not as good as it was before its makeover). With a few days Sunshine coupled with the Sunday game we might be in with a chance. The club often pulls out the big ones to get games underway.
Newcastle Council have called all grounds off until after Sunday
Come in Spinner!!!
What's Jesmond Park like? We any chance of getting on this weekend if we get more rain?
Our president was willing to proceed with training at Jesmond Park last night but NCC closed ground. We at the club would like to think it'd be ok to play on this Saturday provided we don't get too much rain for the remainder of the week.
With the rain forecast i can see councils keeping all grounds closed this weekend.
I was chatting to someone last night from a L2 team who thinks their ground would be alright to play on the weekend, even if we got a bit of rain, but it needs mowing and council cant guarantee that will happen as they are flat out cleaning up still.
They were playing games at Warners Bay last night so it can't be too bad. Hopefully the guys at Jesmond install a new synthetic pitch by the weekend so that we can play. Shouldn't be too hard to do...
How is kotara's ground looking after a few days without rain? Surely we are a chance for the weekend!
