All games off today then?
Medowie V New Lambton
Ressies 1-6
1sts 2-4
First win for NL. Close game?
Poor Medowie you know you have a bad day when Lambton put that many past you'.
NL v Simba
Wildcats v Wallsend (Wallsend will choke again)
Brook v Hammo (will be a slaughter)
Med v uni (possibly worst game to go watch)
Plattsy v Weathers (will no doubt be a draw Plasty have zero upfront but structured, Weathers so hot/cold who knows)
I was pondering the direction of NLFC from the comforts of the Bowling club while watching the training session of the zone league squad the other night. I reckon I've picked it. The bald bloke from reserves needs to go up top. Talks well, commands his teammates and seems knowledgeable and well respected. I've seen a lot of football in my time and I know a Vardy when I see one. The locals at the bowlo agree. Their coach is a Muppet but he owes me a midori and milk should this one work out.
Westlakes vs Wallsend
Reserves 1-1
Firsts 4-1
Good win for the cats!
Bit quiet on here so I'll throw it out there any predictions for how the table will finish up after 18 rounds???? I'll take a stab
Westlakes .... Maybe biased but we are in good form and results have gone out way of late.
Simba.... Quality side when they keep all 12 on the park.
Hamilton.... Flying start will see them in the 4 but they are very beatable.
Wallsend.... Very hot and cold but flying start once again will get them home.
Merewether ... Have caused an upset and have performed against the stronger teams.
Muswellbrook... Slow start to the season but seem to be turning it around.
Maryland Fletcher... Too hot and cold as well.
Uni..... Just sneak in front of New Lambton.
New Lambton... Slow start to the season is the killer
Medowie... Shame they get carved up early in the season they have some tidy players across the park hopefully they'll have a few wins by seasons end
I think both Hamilton and Wallsend will recover from some mid season woes to battle it out for minor premiership. Both need to win this weekend though.
Westlakes to finish third close to 1 and 2. Could overtake but this depends on form of the above teams.
And I am tipping Mussy to finish in 4. Bold prediction but they seem to have a strong squad and are starting to put some good wins together.
Simba and merewether just outside the 4.
Westlakes vs Merewether
Reserves 4-1
Firsts 4-3
Very tight game in firsts but we will take the 3pts in both games.
Our first grade winger off to hospital with suspected broke collarbone.
Anybody on here know if Simba have a liquor licence or not?
Another Friday night game out at Islington Park, results anyone??
Reserve grade was 9.1 to hammo and 1st was 6.2 to I think to hammo
Westlakes vs Simba
Reserves 3-2
1sts 2-1
6pts again for that Cats in two brilliant games to watch.
Uni V NL
Res 2-1
1sts 0-1
I was at our Ladies game in Warners Bay on Sunday and overheard a Wildcats player talking about their game against Simba. Apparently a Simba player pulled the "race card" toward the referee and was given a red. Can anyone confirm this?
Yeah a red card was given due to some form of racial comment on the field. Referee didn't elaborate more than that but talking to the bloke who got sent post match he seemed a bit confused about it, nice enough bloke off the pitch so can't imagine what he did/said on the field.
any predictions for reserve grade?
Seems to be pretty tight at the moment.
Olympic and westlakes tied in first place on 25
3rd to 7th place only having 3 points seperating each other
Any scores from today's matches
Medowie v Merewether
Res 1-4
1st 1-9
Oh yeah
Maryland Fletcher vs Westlakes
Res 0-0
1sts 0-3
Any results from the Uni vs Simba game??
Still not on SportingPulse.
Any games get on today?? Results?
Might aswell hand over the Minor/Major prem to Hammo already this season is over....
Managed to watch Bore-send (wallsend) again choke in their catchup game to Simba last Wednesday night. my hope of what i considered the only team that was staying in touch with the comp leaders would dig in and get the win sadly wasnt the case - Simba were nothing special on the night the only impressive thing on the night was that I believe a fair few players backed up from ressies. Wallsend were terrible - energy was down, attack was limp, defence was as poor as it gets. It seems winning against Hamilton was the worst thing for them having nothing but poor results ever since that day. I thought watching them go down to a 10 man platsy was rock bottom but they just seem to keep lowering that bar every week. Does anyone knows whats going on over there? Too many egos? Mental fragility? Its such a disappointment to see. I hope someone over in the Wallsend camp can get them to pull their heads in and start showing some actual ticker for the shirt they pull on every week cos at the moment they are embarrassing that club every week by not putting it in and battling to the final whistle (fair enuf if your beaten by a better team on the day but u cant tell me these over hyped players have gave it their all for 90mins since that Hammo game) -
Eagles vs Bore-send - (going off current form) 1-0
Uni vs Weather - Weathers too strong 1-3
Brook v Platsy - Brook fortress 4-1
Med V Westlakes - Cats coming home strong 0-9
Hammo V Simba - Hammo will show wallsend what premership material is 5-1
Any results from last nights catch up fellas??
Hammo v plattsy Reserves grade was 5.1 to Olympic. 1st grade was 1.0 to Olympic. I must say plattsy played out of there skins last night and was lucky not to come away with a point.
What expectations did anyone have for Wallsend that they've failed to achieve? Who are bore-send's over hyped players, are you sure you're not thinking of their New-fm squad? In a way I'm also sorry to see Wallsend slip, but it's making way for Simba and of course the Cats to knock Hammo off their perch
