From what I am aware Northern have given out more licenses for clubs to run a JDL program with no need to have a pathway into the NPLW Youth program so Valo and Kahibah have joined in, just means the girls aging out at 12 have to trial elsewhere with no pathway to flow into. The same thing has happened in the boys side aswell i believe. I was told earlier in the year that Mid Coast would not have a team but they have recently been advertising for both coaches and players for all squads so they must still be trying to cover all grades for next season.

Northern's policy surely is in the name, Women's NPL. Allowing non women to play should not be optional. Therefore it comes down to proof of being a woman and who determines the proof and criteria if exemptions are to be made.

Underwhelming to say the least! I am glad they gave her back ground or no one in Newcastle would know who she was, not the High Profile they were making her out to be. Wish her the best of luck though, she is going to need it, not so much with the girls, just the rest of the club.
