Could have sworn it was brown. Lots of play from centre backs to wings via raking long balls. Jets have probably had about 70-80% possession. Nobody has disgraced themselves by wearing gloves (apart from duncan obviously) but lots of long sleeves.

Olympic have an elimination final on saturday so wouldn't be surprised if they give it a rest in the second half.
We still can't cross, penetration is lacking, first touches still aren't great (particularly boogard). Do seem to be moving the ball faster and with kore purpose though. And forward. That's nice to see.
O'donovan with the third.
No snoods unfortunately
What do they call it in ice hockey when they change the whole team? Think We're about to do the football version of that.
Nabbout must be close to double figures for offsides
And the fourth to one of our 5 subs that came on in 1 stoppage.
Second goal to the guy that scored the 4th. Too easy now - straight through or crossed ball through their defence and our attackers running on to it. Keeper doesn't really have a chance.
All done. 5-0. Going home to get warm.
that mullen reference really cost me :rof:
on to the game...
positives
- scored 5
- conceded none
- cowburn looked alright playing as a DM but admittedly didn't have a lot to do
- controlled the game
- relatively clinical in front of goals
negatives
- still a lot of poor crosses
- still a lot of poor touches
- bit predictable (mid to long ball to wide players when the defender got to about the half way, wide players press forward, cross in)
- looked a bit slow (they may have had a hard session during the day)
- lot of offsides
think they played at about 75% for the whole game. i give them 6 out of 10.
olympic were good value, tried hard all game, weren't humiliated in any way but were clearly a class below (or two) the jets. i give them 8 out of 10.
i don't think we should be making boogard the captain this year. don't give the captaincy to somebody who isn't a guaranteed starter, and i don't think he and topor can play too many games together.
Who was that dude in the snood back in the day?
Branco's Cevapii tour - Bankstown match I think.
No, f*ck that idea:

what is it with this bloke and trying to take games to canberra? srsly fark off
What's it with this bloke trying to take games away from Newcastle! What is it with him suggesting NTUA is on the table for change!
Coffs Harbours I could begrudgingly accept because it's in the NNSW region. Canberra is not (sorry Belch). Let Gallop's Southern Shire team service that area.
I struggle to connect with this club in the way I used to. I feel like everything we have is negotiable and everything is for sale.
Our Club should always be Gold and Lord Griff should always be involved in some compacity

Brymora signs with Millwall for 1 year in U23's squad, to train with 1st team.
Some amusing negative comments out there on the internet about this, suggesting a complete waste of time. I can't think of anyone in the history of Australian football that made the move as a youngster, slogged it out in youth and reserve for Millwall and amounted to anything.
Brymora has the same agent as Hoole lol
