I know a professional bmx rider that broke his tibia - he came back 6 months later as good as ever. However, he was only 19 or so when he did it. Oddly enough, it also happened in Brisbane.
Women's team in place for the weekend

It's one thing about W-League that irks me - squads aren't finalised till days before kickoff and the players swap clubs almost annually. It makes it hard to engage with the team.
It's a different scenario but imagine the A-League team if four players rocked up the week before kickoff!
Let's milk this guys - the standing ovation, turning to the players box, Ronny stands in tears, waves and taps his heart, Harps launches into a stream of emotive descriptors on the commentary, RBB turn their backs....Roy scores again during the distraction.Quote:
As a show of support for the Venezuelan, the Jets will ask fans for a minute’s applause in the eighth minute of the clash against Wanderers.
“I have never seen an outpouring of emotion for an injured player like this,” McKinna said. “At a meeting of A-League clubs today, all the chairman wanted to talk about was Ronny.
“Sunday will be an opportunity for fans to show Ronny what he means to Newcastle. He is such a good guy and has fitted in very well. It looked like he was going to be something special and in the long-term hopefully he can be.”

I was in a pool recently with a W-League team (Canberra United). They were strong girls; incredibly strong. Muscle definition like you wouldn't believe. Lisa de Vanna in particular: wow. She was bulging all over. Michelle Heyman, too. I was up close. I had a good perve. I felt puny.
Sorry, there's not really a point to this anecdote, other than to say W-League players are fricken athletes.
Gold Dunster - caught him at last.
NBN - no Bert wrong answer...

The editing on that NBN yarn is shocking.
NCC major sponsor of Jets W-League side

Token jester from jets after council coffed up coin for van egmnd
Being that I two blocks from living in NCC it don't affect me (yeah lucky to live in LMC)
But exactly why the **** are the people in NCC putting up with a council sponsoring sporting teams ??
Doesn't exactly seem to be anywhere on their list of responsibilities and coughing up rate payers money for this seems a ****ing exorbitant no no

I don't care how. One could argue she is the worlds best number 10 of the women's game and we are fortunate to have her here. Sorry Cous but she will always be remembered as the smartest footballer in the family.

I still don't see exactly how it is in the council's domain
Hey take the money and run but I would rather they go spend the money on grassroots facilities for our code than give the Jets this sponsorship
McKinna be better off trying to be getting the cash out of umpteen million private businesses out there than stealing cash from grassroots
