Bony, Pelle...? They aren't freak players like the two you mentioned.
Though someone like Finnbogason is a decent example, he scored 30+ last season at Herenveen, hasn't scored yet in La Liga with Really Social Dads.

You can't say your views about the Eredivisie to the general Australian football supporting hipster nowadays though, because in their eyes it is the Eredivisie, Bundesliga 2 or Belgium that is pretty much the hallowed grounds for any Australian footballer. I expect parksey is one of said hipsters.
But having watched a lot of Eredivisie, I just don't rate it. There are some top-notch players in there, but overall I think the comical defending in the league just makes it a second-rate league and is only good as a use for Australians to attempt to get gametime and in the spotlight of better teams - and even when they try and do that, it doesn't end up working usually.
Tommy Oar goes OK in the Eredivisie - I wouldn't rave about him like others are though. But he goes alright - I think the previously mentioned level of defending helps him out a lot. But he is a player I try and find a way not to put in the Socceroos nowadays.
EDIT: in saying all that though, I realise that my main man Trent Sainsbury plays there
To add to the list....
Ronaldo (the proper one, not the nancy boy running round at the moment).
Horse Face Van Nistelroy.
I dunno, id actually say that a big percentage of the greatest strikers of our lifetime have started out in Holland.
Still tho, running around shitcunce gypos like Sainsbury would make any striker look good.............
RE The Eredivisie discussion, Milik had a decent season in Poland, pretty bad one in the Bundesliga and is now tearing up in Holland
Doing business with a Chinese guy who has bought his son two half mill cars and a 450k unit in Sydney, plus pay for his uni education.....trying to convince him to buy the kid a football team ffs....
when will the Carney to Sydney move be publically confirmed? his team mates know he is gone.
Jets should should sign some players from spain. Go the adelaide way. Start with Fran Merida, mid 20' attacking midfielder, spain under age international. Played senior games with Arsenal and Atletic Madrid. Recently linked with Middlesbrough
Kind of feel the A-League will be a mix of Up and coming Australian youth, mixed in with established A-league players, with a few Has-been internationals. I don't see the A-league getting international youngsters, like we can't offer them anything, Asia does us for $$$, and Europe does us for experience.
So newy have given a trial to a bloke called kris kioussis.....out of victoria playing in primera division in argentina. Only thing I can find on the kid.....
KRISTOPHER KIOUSSIS, 20 / RASHID MAHAZI, 20
Midfielders
Home: Melbourne
Club: CA Independiente (Argentina, Primera Division)
KRIS Kioussis and Rashid Mahazi have never represented Victoria and have never had a trial with an A-League youth team.
Yet the 20-year-old Melbournians are living out boyhood dreams and playing for one of South America's biggest soccer clubs and loving every minute.
