Which other side? Are you talking about bharstard's astronomy thread?
You must be a fireman:grin:
I was gently fanning the flames of rage when you doused it with a bit of humour, very good
Anyone know who the 2 players WSW are given us in return for sending them Uga in this window instead at seasons end?
Ibini
What’s Kanta doing these days?
And what’s Lawrie’s deal? Didn’t think he was around.
My bet we get given Noah James as one of them - even though we've loaned him
It's Tass and Odoherty
From my googling this morning yes. Scored in the last game of last season. 7 appearance this season, 6 coming off bench. Last game he played was 21st Feb where he started. Has been left out of squad most weeks since.
Assuming these guys are on loan until season end?
Kind of glad Uga is going. Been solid for us over the years. But given he wants out, best to get rid of him now and focus on the next up players development.
There comes a time in our season where I wonder why we will be playing Najjarine/Uga and any other loans we end up with. Use the gametime to develop players you will keep or trial players you are unsure about.
We were so much better without Uga last night. Glad he's gone. Its not like we left any holes in midfield right where he usually stands.
Nope.
Legit though you only needed to see the warm-up to understand why we were so flat at kick-off. Blokes just moping through it. Agent McBreen was doing his best to chirp at them but it looked sad.
Theres nothing going on in that group right now. No confidence no aggression, no spark. Cant clean em out either. Need a coach to earn his money, but seeing passengers get picked each and every week gives me zero confidence hes the man to fix anything.
From the team we put out yesterday, Italiano is signed, Millar wants to go back to England, Jackson I don't believe is signed, Topor-Stanley is off contract, O'Toole, Yuel and Thurgate are signed, Prso and Najjarine are on loan, Stamatelopolous and O'Donovan are only signed to the end of the year - so 4 players. Even the subs - only Hoffman and Goodwin are signed on for next season.
The club isn't competing this season - it's participating. It's making up the numbers. And that's why there's such an apathy about the joint - they know they aren't here next season.
I'm still hoping someone can legitimately tell me that McKinna has left the club? If he's gone, this club has either dropped off the edge and won't be in the league next season and the rats are jumping ship. Or its a watershed moment and we are heading back up to where we should be. (7th place!).
He's still there..
I thought I saw them advertising on facey for another "ask the boss" interview, but with McKinna this time
We need someone like Georgevski and should have pushed for him as a trade for Uga. I'd have been happy to add Millar to the deal as well because he doesn't offer us anything positive defensively or in attack.
Instead we get the players the people controlling our club don't want at theirs.
Everytime Millar or someone mentions him going to Europe I can't stop lasting
So we give the wanderers Uga in return for 2 players that can't get a run there. Sounds like a familiar pattern
We are a buffer stock / insurance policy for WSW.
Any player that's not representing good value to them is transferred to Newcastle and replaced by someone offering better value for money.
The Jets end up with not only shit players but shit players that are getting paid overs.
If WSW are unsure about an overseas player they just send them to the Jets first. If they are shit no worries it's a Jets problem. If they are good then trade the player with someone on the WSW roster who is injured or underperforming.
I wonder how quickly WSW would have snapped up our new on loan import if he looked the goods?
WSW can simply trial overseas players in actual a league games risk free.
I will always support the Jets but the a-league can go **** itself.
“Uga returns to squad”
Why bother?
Guess we gotta make sure he’s match ready for WSW.
So Duncan signed a new contract and will be on standby for the WSW for the duration of his WSW feeder club deal
What’s the go with Kanta?
Is he training? Rehabbing? Has he gone to WSW?
When he's right I think Kanta is one of the best players in the league.
But, and I hate to say this - I think the club needs to let him go if he doesn't make a return to the match day squad this season.
He no longer offers enough reward to cover the risk.
