I would say 9 of 11 players starting have played nbn first grade and would more than give those clubs a run for there money. Fact is ZPL is a far better and more competitive competition. There is nooo question about that!
What is Greg Smith like as a coach?
Do people rate him? Were the squad issues related to his management, or more to do with the management at a club level? The article tends to point the finger at the club

FFS,the club hasn't been able to provide him with a first grade squad? He is the coach,,tell him to get off his arise,get on the phone and recruit players. Its not the committees job to provide him with players,its their job to run the club and the coaches job to organize his squad and training. Smith is a disgrace in this article,he says the club has been in trouble for ten years well I haven't seen it improve in your time Greg and it has sunk under your watch. He also said he thought all his squad were coming back,well here is a new concept,sit down individually with your players and resign them,I know as a player I would rather be talking to the coach of a club rather then the committeeQuote:

Agreed...Coaches dont pay the players.Easy to say just get on the phone and get some players but in reality this doesnt happen. There will always be teams in zpl who could beat some teams in newfm,not sure why people keep floggin on about it.Quote:

For what is a smallish locality with two NBN sides next door really in Edgy and Weston it is surprising how little they have done with their juniors and the locals out that way. This should really be the backbone of this club but sadly isn't
Edgeworth never use to do anything with juniors until they relocated charlestowns kids out that way
