interesting. if it's not too much, pens per match in each season? probably the best way to measure if we're getting more than previous seasons.

Top stuff. Reckon we're a chance of breaking both penalties awarded and most pens from a player this season
Season 4 - 1 every 4.2 games
Season 5 - 5.8
Season 8 - 5.4
Season 10 - 9
Season 11 - 4.75
Miller bringing the pens
Converting 88% of pens is an excellent conversion rate, also interesting (but not surprising) that referees have awarded 45 against to 33 for (around 26% higher).
Who would forget the 06/07 semi final against SFC when Breeze waved on 3 good cases for penalties....and we still won 2-0!
Maybe. I always remember being the penalty taker one season for my team and we received 6. I converted the first 5 in a row before missing the final one (granted I shouldn't have taken it as I won the penalty and had a corked thigh as I later found out). I remember feeling the pressure building as I converted each one. I found it a real mental game.
Fair credit to those who take them week in, week out. Maybe if I was practicing more (we didn't train) I would have felt more comfortable, but in an age where videos of all goals are readily available for analysis it's got to be harder to convert.
What are the top 10 goal/game ratio, for more than 10 games and 3 goals?
List of Jets players with the highest overall goal/game ratio. But must of played more then 10 games and scored atleast 3 goals?
1. Sasho Petrovski
2. Jeronimo Neumann
3. Adam Taggart
4. Milos Trifunovic
5. Joel Griffiths
6. Milton Rodriguez
7. Ante Milicic
8. Michael Bridges
9. Vaughan Coveny
10. Ryan Griffiths
Surprised Jeronimo is so high on that list.
thought he'd have fallen further down by now
JP,
could you please tell me:
how many minutes have we played with 10 men?
how many goals have we conceded while playing with 10 men?
how many goals have we scored while playing with 10 men?
how many points have we won/lost while playing with 10 men?
you know, if you've got a few spare minutes and all.
cheers.
yeah, this season.
although if you really want a challenge, give us a season by season breakdown too.
how many minutes have we played with 10 men? 201 minutes
how many goals have we conceded while playing with 10 men? 9 (4 of the were against Perth)
how many goals have we scored while playing with 10 men? 2 - Carney v Nix at Home (rd 15) and Poljak Penalty against Perth the other week.
how many points have we won/lost while playing with 10 men? We won 0 points. We lost 5 points. Victory drew 1-1 after Berisha scored following Mullen being dismissed in Rd 24 while we lost 3 points against the Roar last weekend. Otherwise the result remained the same at the time they were dismissed.
cheers. less impact than I thought, but the 9 goals conceded isn't great.
Do any Jets players have a better goal/game return than a goal every 1.55 games?
Cheers

I read this article and had to check it wasn't you writing it

:rof:
No mistakes. Can't be me.
More stats pls. thnx
yo jeterpool:
when was the last time we scored three goals in a game?
when was the last time we scored three goals in a half?
when was the last time a jet scored a hat-trick? has it even happened?
It can wait until tomorrow
Last Jets hattrick was Taggart Rd 7 2013-14 season, before that it was Thompson in Rd 16 2008-09 and the only other Jet to score a hattrick was Milicic Rd 11 2005-06.
It was the Jets first one away from home too. Also first one scored in one half.
got a bit of a tester for you jeterpool.
does the "festival of football" (or whatever fox/ffa call it over the summer) produce a higher average crowd in comparison to the rest of the season?
also, somebody should rework this as your theme song.

Hey mate, not a clue. Don't have that info.
The person to ask would be Rob Scriva (spelling?) on Twitter. He does weekly analytics on A-League data.
another article I read and though of you

I'm sure there's a PHD or two in studying this type of person and what motivates them
Thanks for the share Boz.
Andy Howe was in Newcastle on Monday night to launch his book. He shared his story of how he started and it was a little too familiar. Ha ha.
A nice guy. Got to see his spreadsheet - bloody he'll mine has nothing of what he has. Files and files and files.
