More important that they run a decent canteen.

Cardiff 3 Dudley 2
Cardiff down to 10 men after 35 mins,
ref was at best atrocious for both sides with some very confusing calls.
Anyone know if Garden Suburb v Beresfield went ahead on Sunday? Been looking for the result but still not even on SportingPulse yet.
Its usually on the back of a strong defense that strikers get their chances....

I was wondering when the first crap-slagging post would come. It's been a very polite start to the year compared to normal...
Well for all the hype around Morriset in pre season they certainly aren't as good as what people think they are, a team full of individuals. there's certainly an "I" in team when it comes to Motown
Beresfield v New Lambton:
1sts- 3-2 New Lambton
Reserves: 3-1 New Lambton
3rds: 2-0 Beresfield
He seems like he has done alot for Morri over the years, and has had success recently, so why is their a problem now? Its 3rd division, what type of coach do you think your going to get? Alot of the coaches in the lower divisions are there to help the club out because options are limited.
Best thing I saw all of last year was when Morriset were playing us, the coach pulls a player over with about 20 to go and passed him a note, only for a player that was told the message to then yell out and tell everyone else that they were changing formation.
I have played for great coaches, I have played for poor coaches.... In W.A I even played with a first grade team that had a coach sacked after the team approached the committee.
The best coaches have the ability to engage and win respect... IMO The best players have respect and a clubmen mentality... It always works both ways.
Lack of leadership from the committee + lack of respect between coach and players = Shit outcome
Far bit if hearsay going on in some of these posts, nothing out of line, but nothing based on facts. I am not a current Morisset player but they've just made the jump from ZL1 to ZPL and don't seem to be out of place. Any problems between the players and the coach should be discussed between the players and the coach.. simples! Leave these sorts of things in house where they belong and don't deal with them on a faceless forum.
but did the change in formation work...
Coach can't play the game for them may be time for the players to pull their heads out of their ass and stop blaming the coach for their results
Truth speaker, not disagreeing with points said about the coach and squad but you said more qualified coaches.. I know that the current 1st grade coach has his Class C seniors licence. So you're saying Morisset have someone floating around with more? Why not say something to the Secretary or president who both play in the squad.
Nope, this thread is for results and ZPL football talk, with your attitude i think you'd find better conversation in the politics thread.. Haha.
Maybe we do need a "Salty Banter" thread?? Let all the hate come out in one place... imagine all the multi's. LOL|
I've had problems with coaches before and i'm an ex Morisset player myself but i left it off the public forum. Come have a chat to me at the return fixture with Suburbs and i'll see if i can help. This broken foot means i'll have plenty of time to chat and i can tell what helped me when i had problems. Sound good?
At least we aren't the WSW forum... So salty.
Back to ZPL...
Mayfield and Swansea doing very well, Bero and Dudley not following the script that everyone had written in pre season. There has been some quality football on show too. This comp is getting better and better every year.
Just jumped on here for a captain cook and must say I'm a tad surprised by the Morisset press. The table shows a win at home tonight over Suns, whom the table suggests are very beatable and Morisset would then sit on 9 points, 1 point outside the 4 in their first year in ZPL. Hardly seems a reason for mutiny from anyone within. Clearly my opinion is based solely on looking from the outside in. There are a lot of clubs in Newcastle Football languishing at or toward the bottom in divisions they have been in for years, some 10+.
Hearsay, speculation, banter, personal thoughts, ideas, speaking out of turn, speaking your mind.....IMO - All the good things required for a forum.
Nothing over the top, overly derogatory or inflammatory - just people speaking their mind. Online forums are always faceless, that's the nature of the beast....once again IMO only, and no insult intended :-)
about time someone spoke about Mayf, undefeated and sitting nicely on top of the perch
Will they have the squad depth to keep them there?
Ressies, shaky.
Thirds, abysmal at best. Heard they have used AA/O35 players almost every game. After copping a bunch of injuries early on.
If they can keep their starting 11-13 fit, they could be in it.
Yes agree thirds are disappointing ATM ressies may be on the rise and Mayfield firsts are traveling along nicely ATM I believe maybe a few positional changes may help third grade but we'll have to wait and see.
Morisset vs Suns
1sts only
