Looks like 2 wins now from Mayfield, this will keep the relegation battle interesting. Pressure is building on South Maitland to perform.
There is a huge gap in quality between Crabs and Bolwarra and the rest.

Bolwarra with ambitions to take their club to NewFM one day. Their coach sounds too optimistic, unrealistic and a little delusional. Get some runs on the board before you aim for a century, bloke coaches like he?s Sam Konstas on debut at the MCG.
Norths beat Mayfield 3-1.
Minmi 3-2 cooks hill
What?s happened to cookers??
Maybe Minmi have found a bit of a groove. I heard they were 1-1 at half time with the crabs before fading away late in the second half. But to be toe to toe with first place like that. Seems somethings working at minmi

Since i was devistated by the match of the round not being stream i ventured down to see my local(ish) match in Minmi and Southern.
Scoreboard
2-1 Minmi in 1s
2-0 Southern in Res
Minmi shouldve won 5/6-1 if it wasnt for some outstanding saves from Fosters answer to Edwin Van der Sar.
Along with him i noticed the away teams staff cleaning out the dressing sheds post game. Good to see etiquette still exists amongst the local league.
Went down and watched First Grade Minmi vs Southern Utd yesterday. Minmi very solid throughout the 90. A handful of great saves by both goalkeepers kept the game close. Minmi improving every week, I know they?ve played all their games, but sitting 5th at the moment, but of momentum could see them push for a spot in September.
I just watched Cooks Hill NPL Res game on NNSW YouTube.I can?t wait for the boys to play on that field on the 29th. Sadly I will be away.
Mid week
Norths 1-3 crabs
Jaffas 2-1 bolwarra
New Lambton 0-3 southern
Hearing Nick Carle is unhappy at Marconi and has been in contact with some family/friends over a potential move to Bolwarra Bushrangers before the deadline.
Being midway through it's an appropriate time to predict the final standings
1. Crabs
2. Norths
3. Cooks Hill
4. Southern
5. Lambton
6. Bolwarra
7. Nelson Bay
8. Minmi
9. South Maitland
10. Merewether
11. New Lambton
12. Mayfield
The top three are a league above the rest, especially Crabs and Norths. Did not expect Norths to push Crabs this far in the season but it makes for some entertaining stakes. Cooks Hill have been too inconsistent but on paper are definitely up there.
The development of Croudace Bay will be very interesting to see next year as they've got the building blocks for a proper club - a lot of young families flock around for their matchdays, I wonder if it's in there plans to introduce MiniRoos/Womens/Interdistrict youth next season?
4th-8th at the moment are split by 4 points, an absolute cooked situation to predict:
Southern have been so unfortunate with washouts, but the commitment to the midweek catch up games and to pull results from these is a testament to the players. A finals spot is deserved.
Jaffas are arguably the more well-rounded team and should take 5th. Nelson Bay and Bolwarra will push hard and miss out by a smidge.
Minmi have pulled some great results recently, but there defence is a huge worry. Will finish a comfortable 8th but will have to fight off Merewether and South Maitland, both on their day can pull a result (Merewether 6-1 Minmi, South Maitland 3-0 Bolwarra) just are very inconsistent.
New Lambton dropped points to Mayfield, says it all for their season really. Mayfield cannot be serious, on track to almost hit -100 goal difference by the end of the season. The fact Mayfield Jrs pay players a win bonus is laughable.
Norths pushed the Crabs all the way last night. Took the lead twice but the Juggernaut that is the Crabs came home too strong. 3-2 Crabs
Laughable scenes after the game though. Norths not taking the loss all that well.
I think Bolwarra is cursed after they attended the Zone Podcast show ;) They lost every game since then and are 20 points behind Crabs. It happened to Kotara as well. They lost two games in a row since they went to the show. Lol
Bolwarra about to lose 5 in a row, what a train wreck. I've heard players aren't happy there that the previous head coach got moved on. Lucky they have enough points to probably avoid relegation.

Mcbreen to Croudace bay. Nicky Carle to Bolwarra. Heard it here first
