Foz issues

And they strike again

OK, forums have been upgraded to vbulletin 4.2.5
Let me know if any bugs/issues crop up please

I am also working behind the scenes on a new colour theme for the foz, its going to involve a lot of trial and error to check everything is up to scratch. Hopefully I can work on it when Im not working or sleeping. Ill try to have it ready in the next month.
Once its finished, Ill switch the style to the new one, but ppl will be able to revert the style back to the default if they so choose.

Is anyone else getting major issues loading threads atm?
I continually get "Gateway Timeout. The requested URL couldn't be resolved" whenever trying to open a page..
Trying to work out if its the foz or my work internet..

Gateway timeouts are usually network related. Modem etc.

Yeah, I had to remove the funcaptcha plugin as it broke the registration page. I had to go with recaptcha but a lot of bots can now beat that plugin.

Ok after the bots found it stupidly easy to circumvent the captcha plugin during registration, I've switched it to a simple Q&A to verify its a human trying to join up.
This should eliminate most of the spam we have been cleaning up recently.

Got to admire those bots.

Just had the same issue in the SW thread

it's not something the admins do or have done to the forum or your account

you seem to be able to resolve it by clearing your cookies or logging in on another computer

easiest way is to log out of your account, open a new incognito/private mode/porn browsing window and log in from there - after one or two posts you should be able to log back in normally and the problem should be sorted

Does anybody else have issues accessing the foz in the afternoon?

yeah about 6pm every day it seems to go offline for a bit

it's a sign to go do something productive with your time

It's the only website in the universe that you get a blank page when you already have it in favs:angry:

Ive been getting occasional database connection errors when Ive been trying to access.
Ive done a bit of a cleanup behind the scenes and hopefully its sorted. If anyone is still having issues, please let me know.

Thanks furns. Efforts are appreciated. But not as much as those by phurnz.
