NNSWF would be smarter to diversify their income streams so that the facilty and thus football can be be more financially viable in the long run and not be totally reliant on football patronage. Its no secret that if the Emerging Jets decided to hire a council ground or Newcastle Uni, NNSWF business plan would be rooted. No club uses the synthetics (full field ones) to play even their catch up games so why would NNSWF spend member money on a facility that would host 3 major games a year? Lakes would need to find a new field because they would not be able to afford northerns rates. And no club would support Nnswf subsidising any team regardless of historic usage to use the field.
I would support a NNSWF executive centre. 50+ twinshare rooms 50-70 bucks a night per person per night... not bad coinage, do the math. Football is a business, the more you can diversify to minimise risk the better. Nothing would make me happier than a CHS rugby league carnival being hosted around the Lake and they have booked every room out, money in the true football's pockets!
