I'm not wishing for it, just pointing out the hypocrisy of the situation.

If we don't deal with China where else are we going to buy throw away shit we don't really need.
Most of us have more money and possessions than we need anyway - might do us some good to simplify our lives a bit.
it might also ease the burden on those less fortunate trying to keep up with all the marketing hype / bullshit.
If Australian business don't want to invest in teams and foreign ones do then it's really not an issue.
If the government have concerns, then there's nothing stopping them from offering financial support to clubs.
Some great news: I can post here now, as the thread is named correctly.
In other news, we play Western United this weekend.
Was there a trial v Macarthur today?
I was messaged Jatz up 6-3.
I genuinely don't know what Papas is saying in this interview (link below). He uses English words but his meaning escapes me.
I just hope he learned something useful when he worked with GVE.

TBH any club struggling with ownership and financial issues will not be able to build stability, so if that part of the dream is to be realised let's hope he can get the points on the board to make us an attractive option to potential long-term investors...
WTAF is going on at this club.

He's been given a shirt by a sponsor - that is all.
Whilst applauded on Linkedin, the FB ferals are losing their s***. Even the leftie local pollies are having a go.

MJS hasn't lost its knack of prostituting out the stadium during AL season I see...
BTW, they should have given Scomo that shirt before he went to COP26, he could have kissed the badge and told Macron to stop his whinging, they haven't built anything worth buying since the Dassault Mirage...
I agree, it was just a sponsor giving a shirt, feel like that happens at any club to anybody of note.
The caption that alludes to us gaining a new fan, implying some sort of relationship between the two parties, when the clubs main supporter group is labour supporting. Don’t think that was the smartest play.
To many, it seems the club is trying to advertise the fact that scomo is our biggest fan. Politics and sport don’t often go hand in hand.
Did he announce anything for the port, Newcastle or sport in general?
Is [KEEPUP] replacing the My Football Live app or are they both gonna run concurrently? I can see [KEEPUP] is broader, but the A-League content seems to duplicate the My Football Live stuff, am I missing something?
Not sure if anyone else is after a season parking pass, but apparently they haven't got the blanks yet, so you can buy them, but they'll still need to give you a paper ticket for the first match and you'll need to pick up the pass when it comes in (unless you select delivery I guess)

looks to be a flashier version of the world game.
Will be interesting to see how they handle something unflattering for the a-league.
Keepup seems to have the match-day lineups before anyone else, and the lineup graphic has little photos of the players, which is nice ...
... but only some players. Others were just left blank. I was enraged to see this.
Actually, I just checked back and they've rectified most of this now. I'm no longer enraged.
All kickoffs for MW11 are 11am....we are away to Perth so that is 8am their time???
I just want fixtures and lineups and prefer using the PC - the app is all bells and whistles - have deleted.
Is Yuel okay? Bloke was running rings around Grant all game.
Well played by both of you.
So apparently we have a signing announcement today. Unsure if it's for A-League Men or Women, though the Men's team is full unless someone is released
Rumours can begin now.
We've signed Emily van Egmond on a "short term deal".
Wrong van Egmond.
Much better footballer than the old man ever was, Sorry Cous you know its true.
I hope they play Van Egmond as an attacking midfielder or Central midfielder. She's not suited to the defensive mid role they gave her with the Matildas.
Kills team spirit, fuk her off
One of the Jerks has tested positive to Covid today, probably one of them skulking around the Argyle dancefloor.
Although, that place is so virus-riddled I assumed Covid wouldn't be able to survive in their. It's stronger than I first thought. Although, maybe the sticky floors are more suitable for these things to survive.
so far, roughly a quarter of the 650 attendees at Fanny's on that Wednesday have tested positive to COVID
chlamydia results aren't in yet but we can assume similar numbers

Seems like a bit if a big deal. Wonder what they are going to get in return.

"Investment is (among other things) designed to fund the A-Leagues’ determination to build a data-driven football content platform"
"heart will be the new digital platform, designed to attract fans of football from all quarters – come for the breadth of global coverage, and stay for the uniquely Australian content"
Thurgate was the positive case as per KEEPUP. Hope he stays well and recovers quickly.
Will be interesting to see how we perform without him. Think he’s been excellent for us this season.
Worst case of flu I ever had was after a summers night at Fanny's many many moons ago.
Looks like nothing has changed....the virus I caught is probably still there.
Why are you all calling it Fanny's.
