Foz issues

Also noticed this earlier on laptop. Not sure about phone

EDIT: also experiencing this on phone

None of them showing incorrectly for me on my Samsung tablet. Will check on my laptop later

Having a problem in the NPL Thread

Just shows up to some posts on 28-5-15

We were actually 6-7 pages past that.

Someone has posted at 3:39 today but no sign of it

the announcement that you have put on the top of each message board is gypo yellow on my tablet. can't find anyway to change it, can anybody help out? or a mod amend?

I feel dirty every time I use the tablet to check the foz.

You are viewing the foz using the default mobile theme
Scroll down the bottom of the page, select Full Site. Which should switch you and it will be a white and blue theme.

Still having issues

Many threads were pages are missing.

Someone posts a new post and I can't see it logged in.

When I log out and view no issues

As per my tweet to you, you were placed on global ignore. This allows you to see your own posts - but nobody else does. I have taken you off and rebuild the threads and posts database so you shouldnt have any issues now.

Try not to piss off the admins in future lol

I have rebuilt the threads and posts databases. Please let me know if this issue is still occurring because I am having no issues on either my pc or tablet.

Took the internet out restarted PC and that seems to have fixed it.


The thing I was doing when it crashed was the exact same thing I was doing yesterday trying to send a PM.

Might be an issue with PM script or something

Whatever the issue is causing it seems to have a hell of a lot to do with opening a posting dialogue box.

As soon as you want to post something it CAN play up. It is worse in the PM replies than replying to a thread.

Just sitting back and reading threads have no issues but as soon as you try to post it CAN happen

I actually somehow managed to lock myself off the site completely last night - what had happened was that something went wrong when trying to post and the server firewall blocked my IP so I couldnt even access the domain. This was on my home wifi network, I was able to get on by tethering my phone - which changed my IP.
If anyone is still having issues accessing the site - try accessing the site homepage (not the foz homepage) from the connection you were having issues with. This way I know that you are having issues with the site not the foz itself.
If you are having this issue, please find out the IP you think is blocked (its quite simple just google "what is my IP") and then access the foz via a different IP and PM me the blocked IP. I will then get it unlocked.

If you are having other issues, again please post them up in here.

Any idea what it was exactly I done??

Not wishing to argue whether I was right or wrong but am unsure as to what it was as I wasn't aware I had actually upset anyone

Update: Apparently users have been falling foul of the server firewall due to false positive results for one of the firewall rules. Our webhost support have excluded the rule so that it doesnt happen again, but as I stated before I will need to unblock peoples already blocked IP's as they report them to me.

The amount of spammers posting is ridiculous recently
Maybe add a Captcha to join the foz would be an easy way to weed out these spambots

We use captcha - its why we have more spammers recently. In order to make it easier for newbies to sign up unfortunately it also makes it easier for spammers.

I will reiterate what I have posted before - DO NOT REPLY IN ANY SPAM THREADS. As soon as they get a response, they will just spam even more.

I've just deleted a whole bunch of accounts with zero posts - so hopefully any spam accounts already registered will be unable to post crap

thanks for reporting the spam - we'll do our best but obviously we're not on computers all day every day

I've been reporting them whenever I see... especially after furns went into a meltdown after we replied :(
