don't give a crap that he wore yellow. hate them as we do, Lawrie did a fantastic job putting together an impressive team culture in a town with little business interest in football. the man's a miracle worker in my opinion.

Agree with most here - McKinna is very smart and a top bloke to boot. Plenty of time for him
after that behind the game interview I did gain a lot of respect for the bloke
but I'm still anti him being involved at the club.
he gave 8 years to that club and continuously says he loves them.
he is also the mayor off ****ING Gosford and that will do me.
so let him become a prodical Newy son then (OK, we picked him up from Blacktown, but close enough), then he can become lord mayor of Newy and turn the Jets into the city's leading sporting club... (too ambitious?)
I can see the reasons why Mckinna would be touted....but I can't buy into this. He has gypo blood through his veins and that's enough for me.
Ex players I can look past as they usually don't stay on the Coast that long, and who can blame them, that a good lousing won't fix.
But Mckinna went full gypo years ago. Surely there are other administrators out there who could do as good a job if not better.
Some comments here is what's wrong with society these days. Welcoming McKinna gee fuking whizz, now I've heard it all.
Lawrie in the last few years seems to have zero issues with speaking his mind, calling something shit if it is shit, etc.
There will obviously be some conflicts with his history on the Coast but he's gotta be better than David Fxxxing Eland.
old patty zwansjwik 4 strikes again
I welcome our Gypo overlord....credit where due. He did help give us a GF and his "minibus" quote at least got us fired up to start travelling there again.
faty has just signed with the gypos
poljak has signed with canberra united for the off season
canberra fc....my bad
SFC were grand finalists the year before, but went off the rails this year. They will want a clean out and imo some of there unwanted players will still perform well with a change of scenery.
I would like to see us make a play for Abbas and Grant as both would add real depth to the squad and would be cheap. And dare I say it, and never ever thought I would, but.....we need a 3rd cheap striker and Matt Simon is cheap and effective for what he does
match fitness? im not saying its concrete rumor but ill shoot through anything i hear and let it play out.

Will do them well next year, give away 10 penalties for them :D :D :D
Jeys train another 6 weeks and then preseason is only another 6-8 weeks. Would be insane to let a contracted player play elsewhere if this were true.
agreed, can't see this one making sense, no reason to risk him getting injured in a lower league
De bohun: jets sold before I go (in june)

Also a bit of tripe about the mariners cleanout.
The only thing that doesn't make me completely laugh at the Poljak to Canberra FC rumour is that Canberra FC are a Cro club. That's the only thing making it even remotely believable - otherwise I just can't fathom why the Jerks would let him do it or why he'd want to do it.
I'd take Grant and Abbas.
Simon can get ****ed. Fully ****ed.
3 goals would be 3rd top scorer at the jets....
Seriously if you watched Sydney games you would see he barely started any games but performed well when he came on.
But I am not saying the guy is a world beater. I am saying the Jets screwed up with only 2 strikers in the roster early this year, then had to rely on youth strikers like Cowley and Pavacevoc who weren't up to it. We need 3 strikers on the books, 1 is Labi and 2 is hopefully Nobby. As a 3rd striker Simon would bring a point of difference to the other 2 strikers and be dirt cheap. Signed for min wage at SFC when Millar knocked him back.
Yet to see any other min wage strikers available with 3 goals last season
Wouldn't worry about Crowley
The club and him have parted ways.
Time to bring Kale in from the cold I think
