Agree with most here - McKinna is very smart and a top bloke to boot. Plenty of time for him
after that behind the game interview I did gain a lot of respect for the bloke
but I'm still anti him being involved at the club.
he gave 8 years to that club and continuously says he loves them.
he is also the mayor off ****ING Gosford and that will do me.
so let him become a prodical Newy son then (OK, we picked him up from Blacktown, but close enough), then he can become lord mayor of Newy and turn the Jets into the city's leading sporting club... (too ambitious?)
I can see the reasons why Mckinna would be touted....but I can't buy into this. He has gypo blood through his veins and that's enough for me.
Ex players I can look past as they usually don't stay on the Coast that long, and who can blame them, that a good lousing won't fix.
But Mckinna went full gypo years ago. Surely there are other administrators out there who could do as good a job if not better.

Lawrie in the last few years seems to have zero issues with speaking his mind, calling something shit if it is shit, etc.
There will obviously be some conflicts with his history on the Coast but he's gotta be better than David Fxxxing Eland.
