I can handle a small wait for decent talent.

I'd still prefer O'Caravan added to our squad - if Mateo gets citizenship we'll have one visa spot, and if Leilei goes back to China that would be two, but I'd expect Leilei's spot to be filled by another Chinese player (and possibly Mateo's vacancy as well, neither of which will be as good as Leilei, so as a minimum Martin needs to bring us first team u23 internationals), we could end up with no vacant visa spots if Martin insists on Chinese development players though...
I think we actually need to be looking at two blokes who can get a start for rival teams rather than sit on the bench elsewhere
Marinkovic is a liability in defence and BKF best days are behind him
Sign blokes who would be wanted elsewhere.
Not other HAL rejects
I'd hardly call them rejects. I'd Kalfalah as better then Austin and Ingham but for some reason they are above him. Also marinkovic is a pretty good goal scoring mid which we do not have. You have to remember these squads are far and above ours. And until Lee shows otherwise I can hardly see us spending as much on our squad as they do
Would have Dimitrijevic or Kalfalla. Pretty sure one more year and Dimitrijevic can apply for citizinship.
Didn't know where to post this....so pissed orf.
NBN just did a spot on the Heritage Cup and spoke "Newcastle sockah legend....Col Current". That was the text ffs!
Wait till they talk to Jets Ops Manager Joel Griffin.....bogans.
yeah saw that, like who pronounces current like Curran anyway, how the phuck do you make a mistake like that???
Commentators on Fox just said Lee & Loz are off to Chile next week to visit Chilean club Audax Italiano about possible link, which may equal a Chilean player coming next season.
LOLz at Rhyan Grunt and that dirty little studs-up khunt McGree getting Ange's call-up :D
...and heartbreak as we won't get to see any more of those stupid facial expressions or shit hair for a while:

Sounds promising actually if we get some decent loan players (with the understanding we are only prepping them for the CSL)
It wouldn't really be any different that what we currently do. Our squad turns over pretty much every 3 years and Visa players are lucky to see out a season.
The average appearances a player makes for the club, assuming they make an appearance, is 28 matches.
BK's put on a bit?

Looks like he's been raiding the food rescue truck
Neville to Perth in a swap for Risdon according to 442
For those interested. Fox just showed Ljubo at the game this evening talking with Musky.
After the game there will be a report on him and his battle with depression over the last couple of years.
Must see TV.
at first I thought somebody had punched ross aloisi, turns out he was the puncher.

an official punching another official after the match...should be made to sit out for the next 12 months if FFA want to send a proper message.

Lowey brings up some points that have been well discussed on this forum about the "haves and have-nots".
However, he fails to address the manner in which the team have been playing the most of the season as another reason we have missed the finals yet again.
Lowey wrote this:
But for the x amount of paragraphs leading up to that line, he:Quote:
For me, comparisons are odious
- used the word "compare" once.
- defines the divide in the "haves and have nots".
- specifically groups the Jerks with the Mariners & Wellington (and get this, for comparison sake).
- singles out Graham Arnold & Sydney FC multiple times.
- relates his arguments to ANOTHER CODE, specifically bringing up Brisbane Broncos, Melbourne Storm, and their respective coaches.
- highlights Gui Amor's failings this year compared to last year.
I guess I'm going to have to agree with Lowey - comparisons are odious.
This article is solely about him defending his mate Jones, and basically nothing else. He's arguably done it in a way that can be agreeable, don't get me wrong, but it's just too easy to see thru it all IMO.
"While the top teams’ best five to seven players don't count against the salary cap, meaning that their eighth best player potentially earns the same as the best player at those clubs within the cap, it's hard to see much changing."
That's just telling of the major issue with the HAL at the moment really.
I'm reluctantly going to have to agree with Lowey on some points. For others though, he seems to still be looking through those rose coloured glasses.

Thoughts everyone?? looks like were becoming a feeder club for China
hey these blokes are coming 8th as well, looks like we share the same values i.e. lack of ambition, talent
i wonder if their management have the same contempt for their fans as ours do?
At least it is starting to become clearer what our club's business model is - will we make the top 6 in the balance sheet league?
I suppose this is the way of modern football. I guess it is a realisation it restricts the manager of the team to only 3 visa spots they can choose, because we need one for a Chinese player and the other for a Chilean player.
