Pitch was dodgy before due to motocross so we might as well stuff it up every month

Elsey gone. How will our defence cope without his "leadership", lol.
I'll admit I was genuinely excited when we signed him as he was always solid, if a little bland, at Adelaide. But being asked to play anything but a Sweeper (same as Jurman) has shown that he clearly wasn't as talented as I'd thought and Adelaide just had a decent system for him to work in.
Rory Jordan also sent on loan to Apia
I'm encouraged that we are finding a way to move a few players on. I assume it means we have some pretty good prospects for new signings.

Hope we have started contract negotiations. Personally, I think Mikeltadze and Thurgate are our priority followed by Stynes and Timmins. Fine with Jurman and Grozos being offered new contract too.
I suspect James will move on. Both keepers have another year on him and if he's going to develop he needs to start getting game time.
Hoff is an interesting one and I could go either way (for the right $$). I think we need to improve on Ingham.
Does anyone come in on money saved on Elsey and Jordan?
They should fold the club so we can all get on with our lives
You must be new here
Depends what the goal is
If we want to be shit again next year then we might as well sign Hoffman Jurman etc
You know the old philosophy if it ain't broke then don't fix it etc
If we want to be good then the only way either should be at a Jets game is sitting in the stands watching
Totally get that. I think the goal depends on the ownership. We're nothing more than a placeholder while the other 4 clubs who run us are in charge.
We won't progress until we are independent of them.
If we have new owners we need to be aiming higher - completely agree. But I can't think about what might be - only what currently is.
Manadu Saito confirmed. Always wanted a Japanese player at the jets. He'll probably come in and play too many progressive passes and get benched
Hopefully his half season trial for one of the Sydney clubs goes well
Was there a story behind Jordan Elsey's departure? One of the first players named on the teamsheet for first half of the season, now gone.
Rumor is a falling out with the coach.
I thought there was something about a longer term deal with Perth.
Could leave them short in central defence now with only 3 obvious options
Perth fans knew he was coming before anyone even knew he was a chance to leave us, obviously they had made him an offer and knew he would take the longer deal. As anyone would in his position.
If he had some sort of falling out, don't see how he would have been starting all the games he did. Sounds like rubbish to me.
Anyone been to training and seen Manadu Saito in action ?
Most stupid FB comment of the week - criticising the Jets for getting someone who is "too short to be a number 4".
McGarry is gone, and in his place are Phillip Cancar and Thomas Aquilina who are joining the club effective immediately but are signed on for next season
Thought McGarry was good in attack and possession, but a bit suspect defensively.
If memory serves he was dropped after a few games in a row where poor defending allowed scoring chances from his side which cost us.
It was nice having a natural left back though.

I'm desperately trying to make sense of the fact that Ingham and Hoffman are considered better options than McGarry at left back.
Starting to lose faith in Papas.
