So the squadron committee has been talking for a little while about this and I thought I would put this up for public debate
In the last 2 years we have gone from having probably 100-200 on match day to no more than 50 at the Tenzo pre game. I understand we have been shit the last 2 years but it's still not a good site.
I turned up at 3pm And saw a max of 30 people there.
New management have not opened a restaurant yet and there have been some other little complaints on how the place runs
So here's the 2 questions
Why do you not go there
And/or
Where else would you like to drink pre game if at all

Are we allowed back to the general Roberts as a group? The place is right next to wests, decent outdoor area it could be a handy spot. Foods good there and close to bus transportation.
Sunnyside is abit further away from public transport so I'm not keen on making a move there. Food there last experience wasn't the best and it gets quite cluttered in there.
Premier is another spot but again not much happening around it. Food I had from there last time was good though.
Duke is good with food but the outdoor area is very much an eating area and may have functions which may impact space.
Other options are the Hamilton station hotel, Sydney junction hotel, Kent hotel (I believe they have a curtosy bus to games there). Pubs on Beaumont st have the beauty of food joints around it only negative is there's a train ride involved and they don't come frequent to broady otherwise it's one hell of a walk.
Tbh I'm liking the idea of either the duke or the general Roberts as a future squadron pub.

I think the main issue though q is the lack of a restaurant. I agree it would be sad too leave the tenzo have gotten to know the bar staff well but if they aren't providing food then it causes issues.Quote:

Walking home past the tenzo last night realized that there will indeed be karaoke on after our game next weekend (karaoke falls on the third Friday of each month).
Just a reminder karaoke at the tenzo 2moz night.
