I do think the whole thing could have been avoided if there were a slightly larger number of police, like I said earlier, only 2 Policeman walking dozens of Mariners fans out and as soon as these kids got out of their sight they started acting up.
We walked out the same way the week earlier with WSW fans and there wasn't a problem. The Derby mentality went a step too far that night.
