One moreCahill
i actually feel really sorry for Kruse at the moment.
as punchable as his face is, the bloke is so low on confidence at the moment.
the only thing you can put it down to is his body having betrayed him time and time again, it must just destroy you.
what doesnt help is Cahill screaming at him (and others) no matter what he does. Cahill gave him bucket loads all game then the one time Kruse needed to shoot he tried to tee up Cahill to keep him happy.
im beginning to really despise watching Cahill on this team.
also, this is Leckies best game for as long as i can remember.
Member though is bang on as usual, 1st touch by majority of these blokes is honking.
Somebody please kill this horrible game.
Dire
Soft 2nd yellow for the Syrian lad.
still watching on delay 1-1 and dont care anymore
We are gash on all angles.
Over engineered play, defence flimsy unorganised and no confidence in each other, takes 3 passes to go where a one touch should've gone, we're easy to read in all areas, zero flare, Ange is a one trick pony in too many areas, players simply dont have the class either.
Restart the whole system
What’s the Syrian word for ‘awful’?
Ernie Merrick has just been named new Socceroos coach.
Need to make Roy Aussie
You know football in Australia is ****ed when the Jets are on top of the A League and the Socceroos are arseing results like that
Drain the ****ing pond
In part i agree with this sentiment and if anything it just goes to show what a sad situation we as a national team find ourselves in when we are relying on a 37 year old to pull us out of the shit time and time again with his nogg'n.
Somehow the Australian team lost its way with blokes leaving Australia to play overseas in the hope of there game going to the next level ie Leckie Kruise etc but they have not improved in the way we need/ed them to. I look at blokes like Nathan Burns and wonder " if only ". I did not have much time for the late Mike Cockerall particularly given he made a career out of giving his opinion but when jets fans dare voice our opinion about his old mate Phil Stumblins all of a sudden giving an opinion was a no no. He did though however put together a very interesting read in regards to Nathan Burns about that next step and being the next Harry of Australian football and by my reckoning and this is IMO but you could also add players like Rukavytska and Vidosic. I know Ruka played tonight but a few years ago he looked like potentially being very handy but he and many others have just not found that next gear. Too many have got lost in o/seas club wilderness and lack of game time has seen them not improve enough or as much as we would like or think they would.
We have exported plenty now from the A League but IMO the improvement to there game is negligble and this is why the national team stinks at the minute. I don't know what is worse sometimes, being made to sit through a Nix game and listening to those commentators or watching the Socceroos rely on a ageing player have to save our asses all too often.
you all realise weve gone full circle and are back to being a bunch of handy part time scrappers punching above our weight.
good on the little aussie battler spirit.
just like the good ole days.
Just watched some highlights back of that Syrian goal
Firstly does Milligan do a good StevieG impersonation or what
Secondly what the **** was Sainsbury doing??
He neither took the bloke with the ball nor took the goal scorer
Amatuer defending really. Yeah I understand he left exposed by Stevie G in front but we had blokes about and no one took anyone
It was actually a 2 v 4 situation and Sainsbury didn't step up and force one offside nor close close the **** down with the ball
The quality of the final ball though was exquisite. How come our blokes can't play passes like that ??
I agree with Sainsbury however bloke was immense for the rest of the game. It can't be understated how much of a quality player the Syrian no.9 Ol Sama or whatever his name is. He was controlled by Sainsbury much more than last week.
Also Degenek tackle in the 118min mark in the box... Holy ****ing shit what a ballsy move. That for me is the highlight of the game.
I don't care if there is a 67 year old on the field if he consistently scores goals. The problem I had was you put Timmy there and didn't play the football to utilise that strength. Too many times they tried to walk the ball in and too many times players like Kruse were in a position to cross but cut back and then passed to Mooy or Rogic.
Just try something different now and then and be more direct, but Ange's mantra is to stick to the system. I recall a game the Roar had against Wellington at home in Ange's last season. Wellington went 1-0 up and at no stage did a Roar player launch in a cross. It always went back to MacKay or Broich, backwards and forwards across the field. It was boring to watch and the gaps they were looking for didn't appear.
The quality of the players we have does not suit the style of game Ange wants.
We're gonna win the league!!
