Fox Sports are not the most reliable source of football info. But some reliable ones have definitely been discussing it this week. Remember tho, he was linked with the United job for the last few months and he'll be bringing Bale with him. My comments are based on stuff being discussed on the Arsenal forums.
Arsenal are looking for a director of football right now, we are linked with Monchi (Roma) and Overmars (Ajax) but aren't sold on either. We've also made contact with the current PSG director, Henrique, and PSG are subsequently looking at either Wenger or Zidane to replace him if he leaves. All rumours of course.
It's probably likely Chelsea will stick with Sarri for at least a full season.
I dont want Zidane. He would be just another short term option
The hell Zidane wanna hang out with Chelsea for?
You lot would be lucky to lure Couscous there at the moment.
when Klopp chokes this title away you just know mongs be out there wanting his ass fired.
According to Matt Law from the telegraph.
I only read the start as it's a paid website now. But if he loses any of the next 3 games (Malmo home/away and City at home) he is gone. I didn't see the reasons for the transfer ban or crowd ban.Quote:
Chelsea on the brink of a crisis. Sarri close to getting the sack, Hazard still refusing to sign a new contract, FIFA will hit Chelsea with a transfer ban, UEFA will ban thousand of their fans in the Europa League and their battle with former head coach Antonio Conte will go to court.
2 year transfer ban after being caught/charged for 29 separate offences. Lol. Lucky they have 41 players out on loan to recall? Fold the club.
Dont think that will have any effectThey will have to take it on the chin like Barca Atletico and Real have before them
By appealing at just the right time to allow them to sign sign players whilst it is on appeal
Chelsea fill their boots signing a shitload in the 1 window
Then they suck it up and deal with the transfer ban when it is applied
Farce of a situation really
I hope Kepa enjoys playing in the youth team until Sarri gets sacked?? Cause he won't be near the 1st team ever again as long as Sarri is there. Fancy screwing your manager so hard in front of all those people and then harbour bridging Aguero's penalty for the loss.
I'm happy for Kepa to be sold
Most disrespectful thing I've witnessed on a pitch that I can remember. Azpi should also be dropped, supposed to be a captain and just stood there and let his manager be humiliated. I reckon Azpi is one the main instigators of the "players are bigger than the club" mentality at Chelsea. Sell him and anyone who follows him. Build a team around Sarri ball and actually start competing with city again.
So Sarri gone very very soon it seems.
Nah your 100% wrong on Azpi. Only thing wrong with him is he isnt a captain
Are you buying the story stanny?
That Sarri thought he was injured, wanted to bring him off, Kepa trying to communicate that he wasn’t injured.
On a side note: this seems to be an increasing tactic. Bring a keeper on before the pens.
Is the tactic just that they think they are better at pens? Or do they brief the substitute about the preferred locations for a few minutes and deem that better than the now common gestures from the bench?
It’s even more complicated now for kickers with all the stats out there about your preferred spots etc. it’s like a double triple
Bluff now.
I've got no issue with specialist keepers. Caballero has done it before and City would have been more worried if he had come on given his history as a penalty stopper. Sarri was making a great decision subbing off an injured keeper for a specialist penalty stopper.
Keepers already have cheat sheets for penalty takers favoured locations. But as Kepa showed (Aguero scored against him in the exact same spot 2 weeks ago) it doesn't help if you can't keep properly.
just saw the footage.
Poor Roman gotta back Sarri here over the keeper.
its one thing for Kepa to wave off Sarri, but to wave off Zola? oh man thats some next level stupidity there.
Proper Chelsea fans not having that sort of disrespect.
That's an act from Azpi. He spits vile at any ref who goes against him and I wouldn't be surprised if he is found out to be one of the instigators of the "coach out" brigade. Plus he seems like a massive dixkhead whenever he's played against us.
Also, Giroud is the most humble guy in your team. A striker who cares more about the team winning then scoring goals. Says a lot that he kept Benzema, Lacazette's, Fekir and Martial out of the team at the world cup but scored 0 goals.
after seeing the ref go over to Sarri and talk to him it got me thinking what the rules state in such a situation.
because it looks like Sarri essentially says to leave Kepa on and get on with it. The ref waves his arms as if to say 'no decision' and calls for the play to continue.
the rules state that if a player doesnt want to go off, then its play on. no matter what the coach says, or whether the board is in the air and the player even begins to walk off. if he gets to the line and decides to stay on then the game keeps going.
am wondering if the ref said to Sarri, if he aint coming off then its game on at which stage Sarri just walked off knowing he 'couldnt' do anything.
so it actually cant be seen as Sarri backing down, theres technically nothing he can do.
now, what Sarri 'can' do is blast that petulant little shit into the sun once hes off the field. will be interesting to see how much 'backing down' is done now.
I would imagine if the coach said we're bringing a different keeper on for pens, that the goalkeeper coach would spend the next five minutes reviewing the stats with the keeper before he went on. Seems like far more opportunity to prep for pens, which like you say is becoming more of an artform.
So how tge **** does a goal keeper get cramp ??
How the **** does a keeper get cramp that bad and the coach wants to sub him off??
These are 2 baffling questions
