We'll see him in Sky Blue in no time.

A few interesting points out of today's Herald article featuring comments from lord griff:
- Griff compares Fitzgerald to Appiah and Austin and says he is a definite upgrade on them. I agree
- striker we are in talks with is from CENTRAL America.
- Ivan wants out and article mentions johnny taking over left back role. FMD we need a proper left back. I have heard we are trialling Tom Doyle from the nix at some point 🤯, another visa wasted on a kiwi possibly
Paolo Guerrero - thank me later.
disappointing if ivan wants out, but can't blame him after the treatment he has had in the last couple of years.
Fans are gonna be so happy when Lachie Jackson is getting skinned at LB all year and Vujica is killing it with WSW or Victory. Ernie can't work out how to play a LB at LB but thinks he can make a Gypo bench warmer into a competent footballer.
Fold the club already. Just cancel the football but keep the bars and ice cream vans open. We can all sit around in Jets shaped hats and actually enjoy ourselves for once.
Ivan is fundamentally too slow to play the style we (Ernie) want to play.
You need someone who can box to box as a LB/RB, to overlap and get back. He gets burned by fast wingers too often.
i know you are reporting these things as facts, but they arent.
Ivan was plenty good enough to play in this league and unless you can provide proper 'got burned'* stats then id contend every single one of the dudes that played in the backs were caught out just as often. Inc Gorgeous George.
and i know 'you' saw him get burned. I did too. Im just not sure you saw all the other times everyone else got burned too, because i def saw that.
* getting burned by Arzani doesnt count in these stats because Arzani is a Champions League Cup trophy plate winner and winner of the bestest player in the world award several times.
Agreed with plaguesey.
Apart from Arzani, who burnt many left backs and is the pinnacle of Australian Football along with Zone League 1 Third Grade to form a kind of twin peaked mountaintop, I don't recall many players that handed it to Ivan more than they did or would have to any other left back in our or any other squad.
Nah, I'm with Roundball on this one..
I saw Ivan at Markettown Woolworths the other day and easily burnt past him in the rice/noodle aisle..
Fold the club.
I will take Ivan over Jackson any day of the week
Roy O'Carovan to Brisbane Roar as Marquee.
Marquee for the sole purpose of only having his wages not being included in the cap i am tipping.
Marquee is used for nothing more than this purpose now and hasn't for a long time been used for its proper intended purpose. Like most things about our national competition it has become watered down mediocre rubbish.
So Ivan moves on because Jackson will be first choice over a current national U23's player.
I see this season most certainly being the biggest shit show since Stubbins
Ivan officially gone.
Big mistake.
You have lost me. Your saying he going to better than Ivan which is the LB role but then say his ability will materialize when he is picked over Topor or Boogs which is the middle of defence ???.
You don't need to be a genius to realize something has has happened after Ivan recovered from illness early last season. He never really got much of a look in after recovering from that and there was speculation at the time words were had between the boss and Vujica.
Big mistake to let the peoples champion leave. Jackson being played out of position isn't good for him or the club.
Ivan to Western United.

You were saying? We will sign him. ;)
Should have acquired Jackson instead, he going places as a LB.
we all have to appreciate though that by the time Merrick gets the ass in December the new coach will have his "not my squad" excuse all typed out nice on a sheet to read out at the press conference.
its just good to see that after a few years of sillyness we are finally getting back to the stable shitstorm we are all comfortable with.
I can see Ernie getting Millered before the season even starts.
