Something like that.. I had had a few Captain Morgans, tokes and pseudoepho cold/flu tablets.. haha..
So perhaps that had something to do with it. BUT in a way, he does fit in with our previous requirements for a "Jardel" type marquee..

That explains a lot
young socceroos beat vietnam 4-0 in that under 19 tournament they're at. jets squad news:
- taggart came on as 65min sub & scored in the 83rd min. from reports, sounded like a poachers goal.
- chapman & cooper were unused subs, but there had been 9 changes in the squad as they play 4 games in 8 days.
Any idea who the Italian striker is mentioned in yesterday's Herald article?
i think he just signed for sydney fc
You would think that whoever the Italian striker is - he will now be falling over himself to play in the same comp as ADP !

better get your number 25 shirt soon, they will sell out quick.
cooper troopers represent
Far out...Got Zadkovich 10 on the back of my shirt from last year. See Griff has changed too. Has Jobe as well?
Kind of annoying
yeah jobe 12 to 16. bridges and pepper also changed.
i dont see why they would change jobes considering a number of kids would have 12 shirts and be dissapointed that it doesnt match anymore
brillante - the new fans player.
finally a semi-decent player wearing 16.
pretty sure I'll be getting a rubez jersey though. jeterpool - get mum to take off the 1 & put it horizontally through the 0.
9 unallocated.
Reckon we should Organise a mass purchase of "J. Griffiths 9" to send the club a message.
yet more pointless number changes
the a-league :gent:
yet more pointless pronunciations
I reckon 9 will stay unallocated, to be honest.
It was unallocated last year until Bridgey picked it up when he unretired.
That's the idea. Keep us hanging on and deliver nothing.
Something like ..... How do you keep an idiot in suspense???
Come Back and I will tell you tomorrow
Maybe they can retire the 9 kit for the fans.
Hunter Ports Newcastle Jets forward Ryan Griffiths will continue to wear the Club’s number 23 jersey during the 2012/13 A-League season.
Griffiths was set to switch to number 11, but he will now stay with the jersey that he wore while scoring nine goals for the Jets last season.
“I was always very fond of the number 23, because my idol was Michael Jordan and I used to love my basketball,” Griffiths said.
“I first opted to change to 23 while I was in Romania and as soon as I whacked on that number it was like my career took off. I started scoring plenty of goals and was transferred to bigger clubs.
“Ever since then I’ve been wearing it. I wore it while I was in China and I still get messages and tweets from people overseas wearing my number 23 shirt.”
The number 23 was made famous by Jordan, but has also been worn by a number of other high-profile athletes including Shane Warne, David Beckham and LeBron James.
“There’s a lot of successful sportspeople who wear the number 23 so maybe it does have some type of lucky significance,” he said.
“It’s a number that I’m happy to stick with, because I don’t know if it’s a psychological thing or not, but I really enjoy wearing it.”
Griffiths continuing to wear the number 23 jersey means defender Connor Chapman will don the number 11 shirt throughout the 2012/13 season.
good news, but i'm not a fan of chapman wearing 11.
am all about the chapman's wearing 11, the gallas's wearing 10. love it!
tbh i thought, judging by tweets, ryu asked for #11. when he said he was going to wear it, he said it was his favourite number & he was more like his fave player ryan giggs, who he shares initials with.
anyway, should fill the #9 with j.griffiths, hey?
Must be a slow news week..
It doesn't bother me what number they are wearing, so long as they were giving it all on the pitch..
wish the clubs had more freedom in this. aren't gk's limited to 1, 20 and 30 or something? would love to see bk #69, peppz 84 etc
also Joel G 9
lol nash
thx boiz
23 days, or 23 hours?
hopefully the latter
