News just in, Remo is meeting up with a potential signing in Rome this weekend. He is a former international and has played in the EPL and Serie A, played mostly as a playmaker. He got busted for doing drugs/beating up his girlfriend back in the early 2000s but Con is keen to sign him.

I don't get all the Middleby out stuff. The guy is running a club owned by a man who is losing money hand over fist and selling everything to try and resolve his debts. Money is not going to be free flowing.
I have no doubt if the club could afford it GVE would be gone.
We got Heskey, there is no way Tinks is going to spring for an Australian marquee and Bosnar was never going to fit in the salary cap. Probably explains why the club never really pursued Kewell.
I'd be judging Middleby after Tinks gets his shit together, until then the club will continue to be a basket case.

On the recruitment of players. I don't think our squad is far off the mark. Sure we need some experience in the centre of defence and attacking midfield but it comes at a cost and I can also see why we can't pony up and use the second marquee status.
