Man! I haven't been in here for a while!
Australian Vans warped tour 2013 1st line up announcement happening 10/07/2013! hopefully it'll be a decent line up with plenty of new and old.
Wish list
FIDLAR
DKM's (unlikely)
Bad Religion
NOFX
Swinging Utters
ME First
Lagwagon
Tiger Army
Sick of it All
Slightly Stoopid
Teenage Bottle Rocket
Billy Talent
RDGLDGRN
Aussie acts
28 Days (they're touring the Anniversary Upside on the down and that album rocked!)
Frenzal
The Rumjacks
Melb Ska Orchestra
The Ramshackle Army
Sydney City Trash
Graveyard Train
It needs The Porkers included on your lineup.
The Porker s are just Pete Porker these days. but hey if any of them are willing to get back together I'd be up for that. Love me some Porkers.
Also needs more Bosstones.
Been digging Twelve Foot Ninja over the last couple of weeks, not my usual cup of tea but really fkn loving it. Video clips are a laugh too.

So Vans Warped tour has become a farce, mostly melodic hardcore (less hard more scream if you ask me) or power pop bands. So disappointed. I'll have to look at the later releases but if they're going to walk out this trash I'l stick to soundwave.

suggest you check it
how's fat as butter ay?
jeez they are taking the piss
booka shade the only thing worth going for, gym class heroes fmd what a bunch of fart merchants
- Booka Shade (decent)
- Digitalism
- Dialectrix
- Willow Beats
- Cosmo Jarvis
They would all be alright but no ****in way I'm going to that shit heap of a "festival".
Splendour line-up is pretty good this year. FIDLAR are playing as well as Violent Soho and a new budding Aussie band Postblue.
also:
Klaxons
Polyphonic Spree
Rubens
Cold War kids
You Am I
Jake Bugg
That i'd want to see, heaps more for those into sensy music, rap and the dance music.
BDO 2014
Pearl Jam
blur
arcade fire
snoop dogg
ghost
major lazer
cosmic pyschos
and a heap of others bands that i cant be bothered writing
im up for Ghost and the cosmic pyschos
pretty epic line-up really
The 1975 & Mud Honey are both that'd be on my list. Though, I'll not be attending as ill be on the south coast both days.
Awesome BDO lineup but is it really "the lineup to end all lineups"? :rof:
Snoop Dogg aka Snoop Lion
wow bdo is more irrelevant than ever
pearl jam smh, terrible band, only thing worse is their fans
the white bread of grunge music
Am I the only one that thinks it's strange / sad that today's headline acts are bands from over 10 years ago?
this is what happens when the dollar crashes
That's coz every song these days is either:
DJ (insert stupid DJ name here) featuring (insert irrelevant vocalist here)
Or
Some shitty Mumford and Sons imitators, which is terrible because Mumford and Sons are the ****ing worst.
/runs out and shoo's teenagers off his lawn.
Maybe the Rolling Stones were already booked?
i'm no real pj fan but i think they are a pretty decent headliner
obviously there are a few zeitgeist bands like tame impala on the bill too
great to see that flume is playing just in case anyone has been able to miss him at every other australian festival this year
flume shows are great for a perv in the crowd though, mind
I'm only going for the overpriced food and drinks. And seeing its on straya day wearing my cape flag and southern cross tattoo.
holdin' on
holdin' on
duum
duum
Cant wait til Ke$ha headlines the 2021 Big Day Out.
digging the debut lps from two good young australian bands: rufus - atlas, and snakadaktal - sleep in the water.
rufus is a dance/house group who write really catchy tunes. might have heard them a few weeks back on the j's as they had the feature album. saw them last year at the cambo and they were great.
snakadaktal's album has really impressed me. i'd heard "air" and always dug it, not a huge fan of the single "dance bear" from last year and didn't really know what to expect from their album. very pleasantly surprised that it's a real atmospheric, dream pop/shoegaze outing which is exactly what i'm in to right now. great vocals. check it out qmun.

Testament and maybe Megadeth is all I would really be interested in in that lot. Shame that Layne is dead, would have loved to see AIC but current stuff is a bit blergh in comparison.
