Oh man I had to live 6 months with a front loader it sucked my will to live the damn thing just took forever. If I was single then no prob but Plague Jnr seems to have a pile of clothes to rival Elton John I'm forever washing that little buggers stuff.
and yeah those combo units are the worst. **** those things.
We brought a pretty dope top loader for our new joint about 6 months ago. Fisher and Paykel.
My LG combo unit is still going strong after around 12 years and a trip to Perth and back again.
Great to minimise footprint especially since I only use the dryer function when it is constantly raining
Can't speak to the quality of newer LG units, maybe they have lowered their standards since?
Side note - LG fridge of about the same age is also keeping stuff cold as per the norm. Also came out West with me
was researching combo units when we were looking at replacing our dryer. The reviews weren't good at all.
Our LG front loader is still going strong after 5 years so it's all good.
Bought a Bosch heat pump dryer about a year ago and it's brilliant. Pricey initially, but the energy consumption is about a quarter of a normal dryer so you make it back over time. Plus you don't walk into a sauna in your laundry every time you run it.
LG make seriously good stuff.
Can vouch for awesomeness of their TV's and Fridges.
So do you have the 906/907 or the 730 fridge Plague ?
Both are really good. Only issues were on early production units icing up, but that's easily fixed with a simple door/gasket change. Later production units never had the issue.
Samsung Fridges should be avoided at all costs - some massive design issues with respect to wiring / water / heat which cannot be repaired.
Problems with Fridges are usually in the first six months - once beyond that it's smooth sailing.
My issues with Samsung are that when something does go wrong it's a lot harder to fix them than it is brands like LG or Westinghouse.
lol@renaissance man. I always wanted to be a Polymath like William Whewell and was well on my way until I got distracted by women and then it all pretty much went to shit and here I am .
Just to clarify, the combo unit uses heat pump technology as well. Not a standard dryer with the sauna effects as you mentioned.
Maybe I just got lucky. Full disclosure - many of the 12 years I have had it, I was a single man, doing 2 loads a weekend. So it is probably relatively lightly used for its age
That plastic shit they cover every product you buy these days
You need a pair of scissors to cut through the ****ing thing and then risk stabbing as you try grabbing at the hard plastic to prise it a bit further to get your product out
How the **** do the elderly and women go with that shit??
About 2 years ago, I worked Christmas and had 3 separate people come in with quite deep lacerations to their hand from trying to open DVDs.
2 of them were still security locked and they hacked at it, and one was trying to remove the plastic.
That's how they go!
Graffiti
Is there any reason why we as society tolerate this filth??
Can't go anywhere without seeing some toss pot have tagged a train a fence a door a sign or whatever
How about some amputation of limbs for the ****s caught doing it??
bleeding hearts would wail a flood on the Today show
