Wow, how ****ing deluded is Brosque. He basically says that not one of the 18,000+ people in the stadium thought it was a penalty. That's one of the daftest ****ing comments I've ever heard a player say and I've heard some shockers before.

Gee it's hilarious hearing Sydney players and staff just assume they are going to make the Grand Final.
Odss on, they are - but it's not set in stone just yet. Nothing would make me happier (apart from us winning the lot) to see Sydney bundled out at home against whoever they draw in the Semi Final
What does this mean?
Firstly, they know they are in the GF, second they know who the ref will be?Quote:
There were a lot of contentious calls, there will be a different referee in the grand final so what happened tonight won’t happen again
So who is this Captain Obvious multi anyway?
"Robert Dillon: Saturday's 2-1 win by Newcastle Jets over Sydney FC was a proud moment for their long-suffering fans"
It's not just Syd Ffa players and staff, it's everywhere in the press: "Jets, City and Victory are fighting to be in the gf against Syd Ffa" or something like that.
I agree it would be highly satisfying to see them knocked out at home by a Melb team.
Pure arrogance. Karma awaits...
Rare article on A-League in the Guardian- even rarer about the Jets

Hypothetically, if we finish 2nd win our semi and Sydney get beat in their semi. Do we host the GF at turton road?

if only i was making that joke because of how stupid the FFA is and its something they'd prolly try and justify.
10,310 posts and easily 10k of them are utter stupidity c'mon guys work with me here.

nabbout and dimi named in socceroos squad. well deserved.
Brad Jones and Tim Cahill.
Good to see us building for the future.
It will be an interesting scenario regardless. No doubt the FFA will try to screw us over should we manage to get hosting rights. If the Smurfs get to host where will they play? According to an article on the ALeague website, the GF will be played on Saturday night May 5. Waratahs have a game at Allianz at 3pm on that day & there is an NRL game there on the Sunday.
Will Sydney have to play a home GF at ANZ?
I am sure the cheating pricks at the FFA will sort something out to so there team does not suffer any disadvantage.
If it's Newcastle v Sh!tney, they're gonna have to! How many from Newy would make the trip?
+1...and fixed!

WGMG about Alex Mosque's comments are that this pr!ck assume they are already there.Quote:
Merrick appeared to refer to comments from Sydney FC skipper Alex Brosque made after the loss to Newcastle, which included: "There were a lot of contentious calls, there will be a different referee in the grand final so what happened tonight won’t happen again.”
Arrogant f**k...divine right all over again.
This, and the fact that ref completely ignored Buijs' deliberate elbow to Nabbout's throat (start of 2nd half). That was pretty evident: straight red, but Nabbs, being a man and not a p***y, didn't cry or roll like a pig.
And still Brosque feels like complaining about the ref... what a w***er.
You can see what damage that does to the A-League in terms of the mainstream.
Last night I watched Back Page on Fox....they showed the Jets goals and mentioned the game for about 30 seconds (nothing about crowd, or atmosphere or much else).
Showed the Buijs incident then went on for about 3 minutes showing clips of "sockah players" rolling on the ground.
