Central Coast Mariners reach agreement allowing Michael McGlinchey to join Wellington Phoenix
Updated about 10 hours agoThu 11 Sep 2014, 9:50pm
Central Coast Mariners said Thursday a mutual termination of New Zealand international Michael McGlinchey's contract with the club has been finalised and he is free to join A-League rivals Wellington Phoenix.
McGlinchey has agreed to compensate the Mariners for the early termination of his contract in order to join New Zealand-based outfit Phoenix.
The 27-year-old midfielder, who has played 26 internationals for New Zealand, was contracted to the Mariners between 2009 and 2013, highlighted by winning the 2013 A-League title.
"Central Coast Mariners are satisfied that the matter with Michael McGlinchey is now resolved, and are pleased that the club's full focus can now be on success on and off the pitch throughout A-League season," the club said in a statement.

Ben Khalfallah ..... Not a bad signing for the Retard.....why couldn't we even approach him? FFS the muppet show trio too busy having celeb shot in UK
Not denying that. The question lquiquer asked was "why couldn't we even approach him? "
Then he laid blame on the O/S trip as to why the muppet show couldn't approach him. Blind, Deaf and Dumb Freedie can tell you that we didn't approach him because we've filled our foreigner quota.

Speaks volumes for last season.
Players left their mark....... Brillantes cross for joey Gibbs' mis hit toe poke (no vision of taggart at all)
This is the beautiful that sets us apart....... Vision of hoole upending some Adelaide player.
And makes us impossible to ignore....... Vision of the scrappiest goal mouth scramble in club history.
Is not very inspiring. :facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:
