Penalties are a bit insane. I had one go to 17-16 in a previous save file. Ridiculous.

Had one in FM08 where I won 32-31.
Thought I has some sort of glitch in the game. Usually they are over pretty quick but this **** went on for ever. Half way through it I had no interest in winning but was more interested in getting out of the game so as not to **** my OVER ALL game up
63 consecutive pens that scored before some **** missed. What are the odds??
I'm tempted to start a new jets game but I've been playing a game with Fleetwood town in league 2. Finished 12th first seaon and was facing the sack. Board told me to get 9 points out of the next 15 to keep my job. New season come in and I hit that target exactly and I also knocked off a championship side in the capital one cup aswell. I'm really enjoying the game so I don't really want to start again.
Bradbery thrust back into the starting XI after Heskey pulled a hamstring. Could have moved Griff from the right to the centre and started Hoole... but Hoole already has 21 appearances this season, so more than happy to keep him off the bench.
Dropped points to Heart again. 22-2-0 with 69 for, 17 against. Pushed past that 3 goals per game mark I was hovering on. A ridiculous 32 points clear of Heart in second spot.
MKFS.... WE DONE IT!
Kale scores. Puts us 4-1 up away to Perth... IN THE FIRST HALF.
And Kale finishes with a hatty in the 5-0 final game victory over Adelaide.
Heskey wins POTY finishing with 16 goals and 15 assists.
Heskey wins golden boot, finishing equal with Taggart but played 3 less games. Goodwin finished 3rd with 15.
Taggart wins young POTY.
Birraz gets GOTY.
Grim gets MOTY.
Team of the year...
Birraz
Neville Contreras Jaliens Carney
Hernandes Ono Engelaar
Griff Heskey Goodwin
Taggart made the bench.
During the break I let Kew and Gibbs depart once their contracts were done. Also mutually terminated Pepper and Zads. Caravella was bought by the team that had him on loan and Pescara came in and bought Solari.
Spira in on a free after WSW didn't offer him a contract. Paying him a paltry £925 per week. Also bought in Tombides on a free.
Was rejected by Chris Herd and Brad Smith who I think would both have signed had I had another 2k per week to offer them :(
Griff, Carney, Heskey, Brown, Regan, Beard, Byrne, Taggart, Gallaway, Bradbery, Virgili, BK all coming off contract at seasons end. Definitely want to keep all of them bar BK but depends on Heskey and Griff wage demands. They won't be marquee value by seasons end, methinks.
So I'm on a cup run with my Fleetwood team. Capital One Cup quarter finalist with a league 2 team I think is a good achievement considering I've beaten 2 championship teams along the way, (Watford 3-1 aet at home and Wolves 3-0 at Wolves). I am facing my biggest challenge next round though when I come up against Man Utd. I was hoping for a home game as it would give my finances a small boost but no, I have to travel to Old Trafford.
Actually struggling in the league at the moment position wise, 9th position on 24 points. 1st place is on 33 points. Hoping I can pick up my form, especially at home as that is where I seem to struggle more.
Yeah, these Jets teams seem way too OP
Yep. I think I'm done with the a league. Nothing to do with the jets player ratings, just the league in general. 2m in debt per season. Ergh.
Might start a game as the worst team in Scottish third division with the aim of becoming a European powerhouse.
You still able to do what you use to in previous editions where you would make a shitload in preseason from friendlies???
Use to play every day and put a shit load of triallists on the books for a month and bring the yoof sides up. Made a shitload and kept my first team being used sporadically so as not to burn them out. Flogged the **** out of my triallists though who I had not intention of signing.
Money would fund a struggling club and get a positive balance for the season
No idea... but that kind of defeats the purpose.
I'm definitely going to tone everyone down for the next FM. I didn't think I made them this good
Can I say that Caravella should have a decision making of 1
Joel - if you want any more feedback about the overrating of Jerks...
Chapman to Roma - £1.3m
Neville to Norwich - £275k
Goodwin to Celtic - £1.6m
Jets have won the league and GF in season 1 then backed it up with a second GF win the year after.
The beard is rated at a value of £1.1m
Potential for someone like Chapman might be fine. Maybe even beard... but chapman went straight to Serie A and was then loaned out to a Serie B team in first season.
Just checked... both Goodwin and Neville are transfer listed. Neville is !@#.
I knew that existed... I just don't think I had ever played the game to April 1st on April 1st.
I ran into it last year
Jets have won the GF 3 years running.
1-0 (ET) over scum
1-0 over smurfs
3-2 over scum
In the 2022 World Cup with Australia
Beat Ecuador 2-0 (goals from Daniel De Silva and Bailey Wright)
Beat World no.3 England 2-1 (goals from De Silva and my great regen left winger)
Lost to Wales 1-0 but dominated them
I was 2nd in the group to Wales
I beat Japan in the 2nd Round 2-1 (goals from my regen attacking mid and Taggart)
I beat world no.10 USA in the Quarter Finals 3-1 (goals from regen right winger, regen striker and Daniel De Silva)
I lost to world no. 1 Argentina in the semis 1-0 in an even game possession and shot wise
I lost to Holland in the 3rd placed play-off 1-0
Daniel De Silva got into the team of the tournament
Was it played in Summer or Winter?
I have TWO 75% off Football Manager 2014 vouchers on Steam if anyone wants one.
Started a game as Australian manager.
Results so far Slovenia 2-1 loss Away, Canada 2-0 win home, South Africa 2-0 loss away, Paraguay 4-3 win away and Peru 1-1 away.
Only one game so far lined up, vs Ghana away.
EDIT:
I had a 2-2 draw with Ghana. Should of won, dominated them, they scored a last minute equaliser.
Drawn in Group B in World Cup, Along with Germany, France and Ivory Coast.
I wish real life was more like FM.
Jets have missed the finals ONCE in 7 seasons. Have won the league once in that time and won the grand final 3 times :(
Damn it Joel31

Haha! Awesome
So I finally got around to getting a new laptop and have some spare time coming up soon (bloody teachers). What's the cheapest way to get a copy (i'm going legit for the first time in a while)
It's currently 50% off on Steam but that's still a rip off as it was 75% only a few weeks ago.
If you don't mind a bit of cyber fraud and want to put in US address details, you can get it on Amazon for $25. It's all digital so you essentially just have to lie about where you live.
It has no discount whatsoever on GMG where I bought it http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/au/e...-manager-2014/
However... Steam is in the middle of their (US) Summer Sale, so if you keep tabs on both Steam and GMG, there is a high likelihood that you can get if for <$20 at some point. It's been as low as $12.50 and that was around a month ago to celebrate the upcoming World Cup.
Thanks for the quick reply Grim. I noticed a dude on whirlpool said he got it for $9 the other day. Will ask him where
If only real life was as good as in game.
Clacka is STILL in charge at the Jets and has just guided them to finals football for the 5th straight year with only ONE year missing finals series since the game started.
Brillante, Regan, Gallaway, Kantarovski and Brown have all had testimonial games and still at the club. Brendan Hamill must have signed early on after Chapman left for Europe and he has also amassed over 200 appearances.
Still haven't won the grand final since the 3peat back in 14/15/16 though.
Joey Gibbs is approaching Lord Griff's all time goal scoring record and at the age of 30 and still another year on his contract, I can see it happening.
$12.74 currently on GMG
