Good win for Kahibah tonight. Sets up a cracker for Westy and Toronto this weekend
And with that win for Kahibah it seals Belswans to finish first (seems for the first time finishing first in any comp for 40 years) and guarantee promotion.
How?s Robbie Turnbull, reports are he may have done serious leg damage when they won the penalty and got westy player sent off.
I?ve now seen it, wasn?t pretty, wasn?t intentional but contacted head so red imo
As much as I like watching semis and GFs the relegation playoffs will be equally as interesting.
Toronto v Kahibah
Westy v A/Town
Tronno v A/Town
So teams must have all youth to go up.Quote:
Should a team without Premier Youth League teams finish in one of the play-off spots, they will not contend the play-offs
and the remaining play-off teams will move up their position within the play-off.
Stags did well here. Their 15s, 16s 18s may be getting flogged but this allows for shot at promotion. Same for Singo & Westy.
Alternatively, why is Adamstown allowed to stay in NPL when they cant fill the youth teams?
Northern says teams have one year grace which is why Charlestown was allowed to stay up last year.
If Adamstown don't get all youth teams and stay up, then Northern will need to either follow their own rules and relegate them pushing up the team who came in second in the play-off final or do what they normally do and ignore their rules and come up with an excuse as to why they won't drop them
Kahibah Reserves with their second red for ref abuse. If Northern do what they told everyone they are going to do will make the race for finals more interesting.
Perhaps there were six witnesses that said the official misheard. Seems to work for NPL clubs. I am sure NNSW will deal with it. 🤣🤣
As to it affecting the reserve grade semis, that will play out and hasn't a bearing on first grade promotion play offs.
Interesting how ref abuse gets you 6 weeks off, and potential points penalty, but nearly take a blokes head off or snap his leg and you get less, there are no point penalties and the 'victims' club can be penalised by losing a player to injury for potentially weeks or a season.
Clearly names hurt more than sticks and stones these days.
Great day for stags nine point week with wins over Belswans, Wallsend and West Wallsend.

Interesting finish
Seems to be little advantage in finishing 2nd OR 3rd . They both play each other anyway over two legs and no away goal rule
We will save that for Jack McLaughlin fingers crossed 🤞🏿
Few Kahibah first graders play ressies last night, or they returning from injury
Just making sure that they make finals
Which is why they played 1st grade last weekend too
Well that escalated quickly 😢🤣
Sheit load of yellows and two reds to one team and not ONE yellow for the other team. Before it is said discipline was bad. Far from it and definitely not nine cards worse than the other team. It was out of control
I assume you're talking about Toronto 1st grade, the second red was for a second yellow, 1st red, believe was for ref abuse. Only 3 other yellows show to Stags. Perhaps don't be put in dirty tackles and you won't be shown a card.
Westy coach telling the media they can beat the lower teams in NPL but can?t beat Cessnock 🤷*♂️
I seen that article in The Herald, I thought it was a strange comment. Maybe tell the players that but didn't see the need of putting more pressure on the team. Normally the lower ranked team puts the underdogs tag on to take the pressure off.
In saying that they only got beat 2-1 by Jaffas in Australia cup.
Cessnock have turned it around with the new coach and they are keeping him for next year, so they will be a bigger force. As for West Wallsend they should consider themselves lucky they are in the play-offs at all, two reds for ref abuse and a third incident for ref abuse on social media with no sanctions by Northern has kept them in it.
I was at Kahibah on Saturday. What is Wallsend?s plan for next season to improve. They would struggle in ZL2 I think Croatia, Stockton, Croudace Bay would all beat them. They aren?t competitive and are a long way from it.
There was talk they have asked to go down to reset. Any truth to that?
