Archie signing autographs so still not in match day squad by the looks...
I would love to hear the logic behind a 3pm kick off on new years day. Likely to be more people on the pitch than watching in the ground or on the broadcast.
I will not attend matches at 3pm.
wouldn't surprise if we had highest number of 3pm kick offs in the league, you'd miss about half our games not attending them ...
Typical effing Jets. Huff and puff then concede
U12s are better defenders than this lot. Disgrace
There's a lot of gents on the field that think it's OK to jog in defence. Looking at you sotirio and Ingham.
The failure of players to track back is an absolute disgrace.
These khunts are not worthy of professional contracts.
Sydney were on the counter and Jets players were walking rather than chasing.
2nd goal came from piss weak ball security in our own box. Jets player essentially passed the ball to SFC player 8 metres from goal.
Contracts need to be torn up. There's simply no excuse for this shitfest.
It's not as if SFC are playing good football either.
hooking Sotirio Ingham and Grozos could be a good start...
Jenkinson must of been out on the piss last night only excuse for being this bad
The referee is terrible. SFC seem to be immune from getting yellow cards.
Grant made two fouls in the space of 20 seconds and still avoided a yellow.
Lefondre tripped a player with no intention of going for the ball and doesn't even get a warning.
Difficult to watch when if we aren't making mistakes the referee is.
Think it has to be asked at this point, 18 months into the appointment of pappas, what exactly does he bring that Ruben cant. His team, his appointments, his players and its sinking faster than the titanic.
Sending maraguis to wellington and keeping dane ingham needs a royal commission
Our players are too soft. The slightest hint of physicality from the opposition and our players fold.
They need to be used as tacle dummues at Knights training to toughen them up.
We need a new coach. Sorry Arthur.
Why didn't we keep Yuel and Boumal... our attack is non-existent.
Never gonna make the finals with a goal difference like ours, we are fookt
Hey man some of us took the $2 on offer its not all bad.
Merry Christmas etc etc etc.
Yes
Yes
Although the ref didnt cost us the game he let them kick us and we didnt respond. weak as p*ss
Yep. see above
Cant hold the squad together. Cant coach to suit the players we have. We cant play the way he wants. Hates our youth.
We need Harry Redknapp. He can get the best out of anyone.
Also seems many players arent playing the way they want. Stiff, unorganized, low intensity. When the subs came on and Plan A was thrown out we attacked more although Sh1tney parked the bus by then.
Jenkinson done **** all in that play yes
But the main issue was Thurgate let his man run straight past him and get goal side of him. When the throw in was then taken the entire team was chasing shadows trying to catch up
Basic defending is to track a man on a throw in and not let him get goal side of you particularly around the box
Make all the excuses you want but Plagues boy is overrated and cost us this goal
I can't understand how at times we can be so fluid and attacking and cut teams apart with movement and quick passing and then we can play like we did yesterday.
They had no idea what they were doing out there yesterday, there was no plan, no movement, no spirit, no effort.
Yesterday was only the second game I've been able to get to this season. The other was the 3-1 win over Wellington and it's astonishing how poor we were in comparison.
Sydney weren't good. They were ordinary. We were ****ing terrible.
The only one who looked remotely dangerous yesterday was Buhagiar. And that says a lot. Why isn't O'Neill starting? We were much better with him on the park. We miss McGarry. Hoff needs to retire. Piscopo is turning into Dimi mk2.
O'neill is coming back from injury.
We can't score against a full defence. We have no ability and no game plan to do that.
There is very little movement or attacking runs from our forwards, and most of the times they are ignored by our midfielders anyway, as they seem to prefer a safe pass or a back pass.
We failed to score in 5 out of 10 games (when we scored, we won 4 out of 5 games though)
Of the 9 goals scored so far:
- 2 came from corner kicks
- 3 from fast breaks/counter attacks
- 1 from own goals
which means we only scored 3 times from "normal" play (2 against Wellington, 1 against Adelaide, and they all seemed more like individual "inventions" rather than team play).
Like someone said, we play an attacking possession style that does not suit our players.
I'm expected a big response next game. I suspected they would loose given they played in 37 degree heat a few days before. I think that's a fair excuse, even if others don't
