The was I see the A-League is that it has the largest footprint of any code in Australia (and NZ) so travel is inevitable. The good thing for Newcastle is that we are in a small geographic zone that encompasses 5 of the 13 teams, so that is an advantage we have over the Melbourne teams in generating away crowds and atmosphere.
Not Shane, just a long time fan who wants to wish the new ownership well. Every previous ownership group has had issues, whether it be big egos, vested interests or lack of connection with the community. These guys are putting their own money on the line and are saying the things we have always wanted owners to say.
