Zero, zip, zilch, nada… Well, the only way is up after a donut round. Tipping percentage dropped to 33.3%
Seven games! That is a whole lot of football! I am going to keep it as brief as I can this week.
Western Sydney Wanderers v Newcastle Jets (7pm AEDT 29/1) Bankwest Stadium.
Wanderers have not convinced me so far this season and I feel like the win against the Phoenix will be what kick starts the season for the jets. 2-1 win to the Newy boys.
Western United v Melbourne Victory (5pm AEDT 30/1) AAMI Park.
Victory were exceptionally fortunate to win their last game against a Glory team who, quite frankly, choked. Western United got into a slugfest of goalscoring madness against Perth and saw out the win. 3-0 win to Western to remind the league how average Victory are going to be this season.
Macarthur FC v Sydney FC (7pm AEDT 30/1) Campbelltown Stadium.
The battle of the away bay ticket prices should be an interesting one. Sydney have been fine, but the lack of a genuine goal scorer is a worry. Macarthur have not played a competitive game since the 17th so it will be interesting to see how they handle the time off. Both teams are averaging one goal a game so keeping that in mind I am tipping a 1-1 draw.
Brisbane Roar v Adelaide United (9:15pm AEDT 30/1) Dolphin Stadium.
Both teams play attacking football and have exciting young players being given opportunities in each team, should be a wonderful ‘late kick-off’ watch. 2-2 draw.
Central Coast Mariners v Wellington Phoenix (4pm AEDT 31/1) Central Coast Stadium.
Top against bottom. Can Wellington get their first win of the season? Being aware of where this is being posted, *COUGH* Mariners to win 2-1. *COUGH* You didn’t read anything, capeesh? Well, do you understand?
Everything but “capeesh.”
Melbourne City v Perth Glory (6:30pm AEDT 31/1) AAMI Park.
Glory are rocks or diamonds. City have not played since the 16th. I am going to go with City to get the points here, they have better players all over the park and I think Perth’s loss against Victory is going to haunt them. 4-1 City win.
Central Coast Mariners v Melbourne City (7pm AEDT 3/2) Central Coast Stadium.
Once again, form for this mid-week fixture will be clearer after the weekend’s games, but I am going to speculate a City win, the Mariners are due to run out of steam soon. 2-0 to City.
Surely there will be improvement in the tipping this week! To be honest it is just nice having consistent game weeks and plenty of football to watch.
Also keep an eye out for the Newcastle Jets W-League team playing against Sydney FC (Sunday 31st 6pm AEST) the girls smashed the Wanderers and hopefully they can keep the good results coming.
i reckon vujica is pretty lucky to still be on the pitch for that challenge.
milligan - good tackle.
Mariners dominating Nix everywhere except the scoreboard.
Finally the universe returns to normal.
Nix 2 Scum 1
It’s becoming more and more obvious that I have no idea what I’m doing... 😅
Taken you a while
We're catching them...
“...the only way is up...”
Ron Howard voice over: “It wasn’t”
That’s the third red card this season for City
Someone texted me that they carried Simon off on a chair at FT.
Once I heard that there's no way I was going to watch any replays or highlights (ahem...lowlights)
UNLESS they strapped him into it, plugged it in and turned it on...
PS
Dear Melb Shity
"2-0...and you....
