Simon holding the ball up before passing to EVE to score isn’t getting enough recognition. Outstanding.

Super cool in the moment for sure under the circumstances. I recorded the game and watched it back numerous times and Simon's actions were very calculated.
She is a very talented footballer is K Simon and one of our best when not struggling with injuries.

doesn't exactly sound like joey is coming back.
Moreover, towards the end:
“Clubs can be “relegated” for finishing last in 3 consecutive seasons or last 4 out of 6.”
Hoole done for DUI

Second offence FMD
How weak are our courts when all you get is that weak punishment for 2nd offence
Agreed. I think too many precedents have been created by cashed up types to avoid big penalties and as a result its trickled down to the average joe.
THis is a list of the penalties imposed in NSW for driving under the influence: https://www.rms.nsw.gov.au/roads/saf...-offences.html
Accordingly a 2nd offence for low range should be a 6 month suspension and $572 fine. Hoole appears to have received some pretty good legal representation
wellington have the following games for the rest of the season:Quote:
New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has announced all travellers except those from Pacific nations will be required to self-isolate for 14 days upon arrival in the country.
That includes New Zealand citizens and comes into effect from 10.00pm AEDT on Sunday.
18/3 - Sydney in sydney
22/3 - newcastle in newcastle
5/4 - adelaide in wellington
12/4 - perth in perth
19/4 - brisbane in wellington
25/4 - wanderers in sydney
clearly it isn't possible for teams to travel to NZ, i don't see them hanging out in Australia for another 6 weeks.
I don't think this season will be completed.
Also, the experiment of playing behind closed doors was a disaster in Italy, with several players resulting positive to the virus.
Closing down now for a few weeks is the best choice (and not just for football!)
10000+ today at the stadium for the Knights... not a good sign.
So apparently FFA just announced that all A-League matches to continue behind closed doors and all games to be in Straya..

Possible changes to the draw
Don’t sydney and Melbourne have the most case of infected people in the country...I can see why you’d play all games in those cities.....more derbies yay
Other than postponing it, there's no right answer here. Sydney and Melbourne are probably the easiest to arrange.
I could only suggest moving it to a reasonable sized regional town. It could give their most-likely vacant hotels and local businesses some income they otherwise wouldn't be getting. A place that had maybe 3 decent pitches.
Don't know where that would be, just thinking outside the box
If we get based to play in Sydney do we become the north north Sydney jets? I mean there will be the North Sydney gypos and the north north North Sydney roar so why not...Nix will be the East Sydney nix..and still have as many fans as teams from that area get to games anyway
From the jets website:
The boys will head to the Gold Coast to take on Brisbane Roar this Friday 20 March from 7.30pm (AEDT), in place of the Round 27 fixture between the two sides which has been brought forward.
Then, it’s a quick turnaround as we return back to Newcastle and to McDonald Jones Stadium to take on Melbourne City on Monday 23 March
These dumb ****s at the FFA know that we have the longest off season in history don't they??
What the **** is wrong with just calling shot off for a month right now and then seeing how things are just like every other League on the planet has done??
What is the idea with shooting ourselves in the foot by playing behind closed doors now for the sake of it??
Does it matter if the season finishes a month or two later than planned where fans can watch the games ??
****ing Idiots
The way things are going in Europe, football is irrelevant.
Euro 2020 has been postponed to 2021, and (my opinion) it's very unlikely that European leagues will restart this season. 20/21 if they're lucky.
So, based on the European experience, I think FFA is trying to finish this season in the shortest time possible, before shit hits the fan (and it will).
I'll be watching the games, but honestly football is not high in my priorities right now.
AFL shutdown, Expect us to do the same unless we follow the dumb asses at the NRL and try and keep going for $$$$$$$$$$ reasons
Season suspended to 22 April
My reputation (that colour bar on the left) on this website is as bad as Stanny's, yet I (a) support the Jets and (b) regularly offer useful advice to the team.
This reflects poorly all of you.
