Because Northern have stuffed the competition up with making 20's the underpinning grade to first grade.
There should be a reserve grade or take the age back up to 23's like it was a few years ago....

They really have no idea. Most clubs appoint coaches for the following season before the end of the current one.
How do clubs or coaches commit when they don't know what competition they are playing...

This is a farce if it's true. The make up of the 2020 competition should be announced before the 2019 kicks off to give clubs 12 months to prepare.
