Couldn't agree more. Some have only played 2 games, Lots of movement in some age groups and it can take some time for the teams to gel.
Some might start strong and fall away, or others will start...
both of you are wrong.
Some kids need to work with kids at their level to feel comfortable to develop in their own time. Other kids need to find the best and play with and against them as that's...
anyone know what age the girls TSP will start at?
Also, has anyone at all seen this draw we were promised today?
what the F do you know about city? How about you don't comment on a club you know nothing about, you don't know what the parents or committee think you have no idea about their youth developing...
yep. wasn't really a valid assessment of the skill of a squad at all. I know we didn't win any games, but I also know those games would be much different on a proper field where you actually need...
If you don't understand that theres limited room in first grade and kids are always going to exit then I think you don't understand much about football. There is never going to be enough room for all...
Poor kids. that's a rough start. I don't think covid last year helped, no travelling for gala days. No state champs. The new SAP keeping kids local and not travelling.
A few clubs are moving away from open trials and starting to approach players when they are moving into NPL. I know a few clubs are starting to not want to run trials at all, will just invite players...
This isn’t the SAP forums. Lol. Considering wins is how people seem to value youth NPL clubs there’s really no other way around it. If you don’t improve results or have kids getting into the jets etc...
Nope. Lakes 14s have won all of their trial games against NPL teams. Valo maybe. But lakes in a couple of age groups will be different.
Not even remotely true. Wouldn’t want my kid playing against newfm teams, they don’t beat nearly all of the NPL teams except ones that have have big movement during the off-season and the game is...
Id drop Adamstown out of 14s and 15's possibly put Maitland or Edgeworth there in 14's (but I'd like to see how their new keepers perform though). Our last trial game against them in the 15s they...
The girls playing down against boys has always happened, the old SAP girls always played down a year, HV, MQ, Newcastle, Jets (I can't remember if Jets girls played in their own age group rather than...
They aren't buying them to fill the team, they are buying them for the experience they give to the rest of the senior squad which are made up of young players some who only debuted in first grade...
that's not even remotely true. lol. I think there was one kid from Jaffas at nationals camp in January in the 14s. Maybe you meant Edgeworth, where there was a few more than jaffas? Only 1 goalkeeper...
I don't agree with this idea. You put the clubs that are in NPL into a draw and the Clubs in HitFM (or whatever its called now) Into a draw. Kids don't get better just playing people of similar level...
I don't think this this is a relegation year for a start.
secondly, what's wrong with a club trying to build themselves.
Thirdly, a few years ago is exactly that, a few years ago.
Might be the last of the old HV SAP program coming though, depending on how many of them they took.
Looks like it might be a bit of a different comp for the 14's this year, will be interesting to...
Anyone got any positive NPL youth news, thats not going to come across as creepy?
Does anyone have any idea if the girls are just being "thrown in" with the boys for grading? I have heard that the 10s girls will because of the lack of teams (not all of the WPL clubs could form...
agreed!
Not sure he's a parent or if he is I'm seriously questioning his mental state and if he should be reported to social services. His comments across all of the boards are questionable and seem to have...
PCYC and not quite at competitive levels yet, so we probably got off cheaper, I'd imagine continuing it was only going to get more expensive!
The girls might have not been as organised this year, but I know breaking down the payments into several of a smaller amount instead of a lump sum helps, with a no play date if arrangements haven't...
