It isn't relevant at all in the grand scheme of things behind Origin NRL Tests etc

The odd thing is that they had a four nations last year - surely you just give the World Cup to the winner there and then.

If the players were actually all coming here representing their countries it might not be so bad but many of these teams are based on NRL players and their heritage. Some haven't even been to the country they represent!

They hype up a match between two states where the criteria for eligibility to a state is laughable at best in terms of what "origin" means.
