Why are we playing A-League opposition so early in the preseason? Surely playing state league opponents is much better preperation.......

    How about no.

The playing state league opponents obviously works well for us. We are world champions in preseason for the last few years and then can't win regular season games.

To me we should be playing HAL or better opponents all the time. Either that or play intra club matches.

Having 4 touches per play per possession against an NBN side who are getting thumped and going through the motions trying to avoid injury and waiting for FT ain't preparing us for sweet **** all.

There is a reason why they are that level

Hate Playing A-league clubs in preseason.

    Chevapi tour is the best.

    NSW NPL or jack off.

    From the Herald:

The Jets assemble for pre-season training on June 16. They are expected to play a series of low key trials against Northern NSW and Sydney clubs before building up towards the Townsville tournament.

So why the **** are they not in pre season earlier??

They have already had 7 weeks off cause they can't make the ****ing play offs.

Whats that nearly 10-11 weeks from last game to pre season with a June 16 start??

Aren't they meant to be professionals??

You'd also imagine that being professionals, they'd have more than 4x 2hr training sessions a week……

Hopefully stubbins is planning for a fairly intensive cup run. At least two games before the start of the season.

Professionals should be at the ground every day as they do in Europe. You only get better if you practice. the day isn't spent on the field only - fitness, match review, physio, etc, etc. Hell, if they spent some time on crossing the ball that would be an improvement!
