    AFC U/16 Championship

Australia beat Japan 4-2 the other day.
Young Jake Brimmer scored a couple of brilliant free kicks, he is the 16 year old recently signed a 3 year deal with Liverpool.

    Nice! Glad he's with Liverpool.
Good win against a county i'd assume would have a pretty good junior system...
    Last japan goal offside imo.

This is where it gets sticky.
His (Japan player) feet are in line with Aus No.3 when ball passed but body def leaning in past last defenders body.

Good point, slowed it down, and you're right.

I've never really thought about feet position too much, i just call offside if he looks obviously in front. So, i consulted law book for an interpretation and found this.

    However, from FIFA:
In the context of Law 11 – Offside, the following defi nitions apply:
    • “nearer to his opponents’ goal line” means that any part of a player’s head,
body or feet is nearer to his opponents’ goal line than both the ball and the
second-last opponent. The arms are not included in this definition
    • “interfering with play” means playing or touching the ball passed or
    touched by a team-mate
    • “interfering with an opponent” means preventing an opponent from
playing or being able to play the ball by clearly obstructing the opponent’s
line of vision or movements or making a gesture or movement which, in
the opinion of the referee, deceives or distracts an opponent

Have to agree then. Kent is offside.
    Same ol' Ja-pan, always cheat-ing....

Suprised if this crew don't make the final.
