It was the slide from Grant that made the whole situation dangerous play. Timed as it was, his leg is under the running player's foot as it comes down, a split second later and the slide is into Rogic's ankle (as many were that night). Now I'm not that much of a fan of the big Galoof, he has some skills but is lazy and his distribution is not that good and CCM will not lose anything by having McGlinchy at AM (ecept if they play that waste of a position - Sterjovski), but he doesn't deserve the vitriol that is being spewed forth for a situation that was caused by Grant sliding in in a dangerous manner.And yet if you watch the other angle you see the exact opposite. Rogic gets to the ball first, Grant collects Rogic's ankle and as Rogic falls it twists Grants knee back. This is the bit that hurt him on the night. You see him clutching his knee - not his shin.
The different angles show completely different stories - but the clutching off the knee rather than the shin by Grant supports that Grant was the one with the mistimed tackle. The fact that Harper repetitively showed the one angle did not stop those who taped the game to see both angles. TBH - both were reckless and I would have given both yellows. The only straight red that should have been given was Emerton aon McBreen - but not even a yellowops:
