played for a draw from the moment we scored the equaliser. we were at home playing against a fellow struggler and we should have been throwing everything at them to come away with the 3 points. maybe a point would have been more of a fill-up for the players than a loss, but i doubt that was the mentality of stubbins - he's just a negative and talentless hack and he showed it again tonight.

brought on two defenders in the last 4 minutes of the match, with one scoring an own goal within seconds of coming onto the pitch.

I know where you are coming from Member, I have to admit I disliked GVE but from what I have heard about Stubbins (and this isn't just rumours or heresay) I absolutely hate the guy. His lack of coaching ability and man-management skills led to the toxic environment within the playing group over many months. When the players with the back-up of Zane, Packer and Young basically told him the truth, that he had lost the players....he brought out the knives. Can also add that Pascoe showed his true colours by siding with him and word has it that he actually flew up with Stubbins on the plane to Brisbane to work out their plan of treachery with Tinkler!!!

That's a nice way of putting things. Problem is there are a few more other things in the equation here that have been kept quiet. Stubbins no doubt has won the political battle with Griff and co getting the arse and him getting Tinklers backing.

How he managed to control the rest of the situation with the squad not happy with him is the issue.
