Magic would like to thank Warren Mills and Peter Haynes for their efforts in the FFA Cup draw... hopefully a stepping stone for the rebuilding of relations between the clubs.

It was short odds that Magic or Edy was getting the.non NPL team

Thankfully for Magic it was them and they avoided getting the side who beat them by 7-0 last month

When will you get it Jardel, it is a Regional Training Facility not a boutique stadium for hosting matches

I get that stan, what do they call it"centre of excellence"? If its only meant to be a training venue, that makes it an even bigger waste of money. NNSWF have been screamimg for over 20 years about having a facility to play matches such as these, so when they get some cash they build a training facility????

So that means a shite design is ok?

and hosting matches SHOULD have been a huge part of the original design

But that goes back to the original choice of location

It ain't the greatest location for future expansion

There shit load of other sites around Newy where the ****ers could have bought/leased large tracts of land for it

Try ****ing expanding out at Speers Point.
Not going to be expanding it much at all

Truth is only Lake Macq. Council were progressive and forward thinking enough to work closely with NNSWF... still the most central location considering that Clubs within the degenerates of NCC government area are only 15-20 minutes away from the facility.

Maitland lucky to get through, really impressed with Byron Bay. The bay had a really quick frontline that caused Maitland a few dramas.
Maitland's right back could have easily been sent of at 0-0 after 15 minutes, a tackle from the side that cleaned up a Byron Bay player. This followed up an earlier challenge that forced what looked like Byron bay's most dangerous players off, hope the young guys alright? Maitland right back got a yellow for that, despite protests from Byron bay he got away with second challenge. Good to see if Byron bay can back it up next year, I guess they would be dominant in their own competition?

Hats off to Cardiff city supporters for large following.A few NPL and new fm clubs plus NNSW would like club support like this. I only seen the second half of extra time but heard they were unlucky?

Boy from Byron's leg was broken in the challenge.

Another poor performance from Newcastle referees, Red cards should have been dealt in every game for abhorrent challenges. Regardless of the conditions it boggles the mind that cards, even the yellow coloured were not given for double footed lunging and sliding tackles despite the slippery surface. In that Maitland game there were cases for up to 4 red cards, shame referees, shame, shame, shame.

You set the standard for challenges in the match if you card the very bad challenges early. There were more cards given to team mates questioning challenges as their team mates lay injured on the ground, than cards given to the players deliberately injuring others, because that what was going on and the referees condoned it.

Can't really expect the refs to be competent for this one week when week in week out in the NPL they are poor and below par can you??

Watched the last two games Coffs were quite the better side against Cardiff a lot fitter too. Coffs are the gun side in their comp (as well with Urunga) they have some NPL quality players in their squad.

Byron were unlucky which is unfortunate as all of the Football Far North Coast were cheering them on (which is a rarity) They are the top side up here and look like they will win the comp this season (have been unlucky last few years) they also had a few players out on sat night Joel Wood was suspended and two key south american midfielders didn't travel. Big effort from them against a NPL side (many thought that they were going to be smashed but i guess they proved them wrong)

Hopefully next year we can send two Far North Coast sides down there

Hullo? Have a look next door, Lakes won't sustain what they are currently doing then Bingo! A natural expansion!

Hey it still a small site

It water locked and the road is an issue and don't think the waterfront Park land is going to be swallowed up by football and denying public access

Could have built the thing in hundreds of locations with ample room for expansion but these dumb ****s pick a small location

FFS the parkland between Broadmeadow Macca's and Stade de Newy is free and available

Poor bloke, terrible tackle. You would have thought they may have went through if Maitland player got sent off. Wonder what would have happened if that happened to Maitland player??

The Byron bay player had to sit on the sideline and wait 5 minutes for one of their coaches to come over opposite site of the field to help their other coach get him off. I would have thought NNSW would have had a medical officer their to help out?
