Wish the bero bloke from thirds the best in his recovery. Not sure how they got around but some blokes at the pub had pictures of his xray scans and it didn't look great. A bad start to what was an otherwise entertaining day.
From what I heard our ressies had about 200 shots at goal without troubling the keeper too much. I did see a couple of nice saves.
First grade would have been a good game for the spectators, pretty end to end with some suspect defense from both teams leading to a lot of attacks. We felt a bit hard done by when not awarded a goal for a ball lying a foot over the line, although neither of the refs were in much of a position to see it was still hard to take. 2-1 at half time, much of the same with chances at both end. Bero equalised about 3 out from fulltime with a nice free kick. Keeper got fingertips to it but could only push it into the underside of the bar. Bero certainly came home stronger in the last 10 minutes or so, it was clear to see we weren't very comfortable frontrunners lol. Our right mid was subbed off and has since confirmed a broken collarbone, I think he's looking at 6-8 weeks at the moment.
Was a fun game to be a part of, although disappointing not to hang on to the three points. Another round 2 clash we'll look forward to, cheers guys.

In europe, UEFA doesn't let feeder clubs play in the same division as their parent club. Not sure why Macquarie allows Jeso to play in this division?
When I grow up, I want to be Yohan Cabaye.

Stockton v Charlie catchup last night
    Res 2-3 Charlestown
    1st 1-1
Good game in 1st stocko are a good bunch of blokes. Couple of big challenges but nothing with any real malice from either team. Stockton scored midway through 2nd half with a well worked goal. Charlie equalized with about 10 to go. Credit to Charlie boys down on players and a couple of injuries during the game they dug deep and got a point. Looking forward to the 2nd round game.
    3rds play tonight 630 kickoff

Retro was talking about the Good Sports initiative of the state government

its about responsible alcohol use in sports clubs and warns you of the huge risks, potential fines and exposure to being sued for things like selling beer from an rely

but if you want to have a dig at our pre-upgrade facilities then fine, keep doing what you are

That's a smart move, advertise how you think you are outsmarting, the powers that be.
The old donation/charity tin was ruled illegal years ago.
About $500?? gets you a licence for life to sell alcohol, just fill the form in each year, done.
