going to bill bailey next saturday. looking very much forward to it.
Damn, was really considering buying tickets to see it. Qualmpeddler right?
Please do report if its good
Bill Bailey always puts on a great show. I have seen maybe over one hundred comedians and i reckon the best i have ever seen is Ross Noble, closely followed by Ben Elton and then if you can count him as a comedian, Henry Rollins. Ross Noble is great because he just improvs the whole show and never misses a beat, Ben Elton writes very clever comedy and Henry Rollins spoke for i think about 2 hours without saying um or pausing at all. All three were extremely impressive in their own way. Billy Connolly was also very good but not as good as those three.
Pete are you seriously saying Ben Elton is better than Billy Connolly?

Although he doesn't tour anymore - see if you can get hold of some Frank Skinner vids. Not only does he love his football but he is one of the sharpest comedians I've come across and comes up with jokes from nowhere.
From his radio show....
Co-host - "Frank - did you see this story today about Robbie Williams...how in his heyday he used to have sex with groupies and shout out "Take That" while doing so !!
Frank - "Lucky he wasn't in Deep Purple !"
Or the famous "Scratching Fanny"...

vale: Smith & Jones
oh f#$kTributes have been paid to comedian Mel Smith after his death at the age of 60, with his sidekick Griff Rhys Jones describing him as someone who "inspired love and utter loyalty".
The star of Alas Smith and Jones and Not the Nine O'Clock News had a heart attack at his home in northwest London on Friday.

I fondly still have the Smith and Jones album - "Scratch and Sniff".
Such a shame.. I loved Smith and Jones when I was a kid.. Had a cassette of them (not sure which one) that I used to play all the time..
