Mooy had a very rare shocker, gave the ball away more tonight than he probably has collectively for the last 12 months!

I'm not saying that pitch is an excuse but fmd..I saw Jackson Irvine's knee
disappear into the turf after that free he gave away when he came crashing to earth.
Nothing they tried seemed to come off. They didn't play the field like Thailand did.

And did I mention how sh!t Mooy was tonight? Total passenger. Rogic disappeared
2nd half too. Field didn't suit his style of play. Both he and Mooy coughed up
way too much ball in the midfield.

Lots of soul searching for Ange with his player selections and for most of those players
    before March comes around.

Gee...I wonder where that Saudi game will be played? The Melbourne and Sydney cards have been frittered
away now. Looming as the biggie at home. I consider Japan away already a loss....

Also, how can those pricks from the AFC tell us that Enema Australia Stadium at the time
wasn't good enough for a Confederation finals series but allow guff like that pitch for a qualifier?

Half way through and we are 1 point off the lead. We have 3 home games left. We have Japan away as well as Iraq at a neutral venue.
We should really still finish in the top two, tonight just would have (and should have) made it a much less nervous wait!

Jedinak and Rogic and Leckie are trash.
Mooy and Kruse had a dig but were also trash.
    Don't care about the others.

    SWEET!

our part kicks off in june.

First round: The lowest ranked teams will play home-and-away over two legs to reduce the total number of teams to 40.
Second round: The 40 teams will be divided into eight groups of five to play home-and-away round robin matches, where the eight group winners and the four best group runners-up will advance to the third round of FIFA World Cup qualification as well as qualify for the AFC Asian Cup finals.
Third round: The 12 teams (an increase from 10 for 2014) will be divided into two groups of six to play home-and-away round-robin matches. Dependent on the number of qualifiers from the AFC, the top two teams of each group will qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, and the two third placed teams will advance to the fourth round.
Fourth round (play-off for 5th place): Dependent on the number of qualifiers from the AFC, the two third-placed teams in each group from the third round will play against each other home-and-away over two legs to determine which team will advance to the inter-confederation play-offs.
The next best 24 teams eliminated from World Cup qualification in the second round will be divided into six groups of four and compete for the remaining slots of the 2019 AFC Asian Cup (the third round of 2019 AFC Asian Cup qualification will be separate from the third round of 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification).

Probably a few hard done by - Brad Jones the hardest done by in my opinion.

Wilkinson leading the defence for the best team, currently, in the league is probably hard done by and Brillante probably a better option then McGree. In saying that, neither would expect to be in the final 23, so maybe exposing the youngster isn't a bad idea.

Grant benefiting from a lack of options at right back.

A few new faces which isn't the worst thing ever to see.

A distinct lack of right backs in there. Grant, Milligan, makeshift right backs?

Surely there is an underlying reason that Jones isn't in there.. there has to be. But tbf to Vukovic he has been outstanding this year (granted, behind a terrific back 6 of SFC).

I'm devastated that Spira is injured.
    OK
